Go to lure

Featured Replies

What is your go to lure and how long do you give it?  Everyone has their favorite one.

Mine is black and blue jig and I give it about 20 to 30 minutes.  I also have a close second a T-rigged watermelon tube with red flake.

    Mine is a gold Senko.

    I give it all day.

Baby Brush Hog-Green Pumpkin and Jacks Juice Crawfish--1/8th oz. spider head slider hook....batta bing!

Pond- watermelon senko- 1 hour

River- LC RC2.5DD MS American shad- all day

Well if the Wake Jr. isn't working, I'll pick up the fairy wand and start dropshotting fish.

There aren't many lakes that I can't get a fish dropshotting.  My go to DS worm would be a 5" Pro Worm in Pro Gold w/ small red or purple flake.   8-)

Watermelon red flake senko :) I'll throw it as long as they keep hittin it ;D

Watermelon purple baby brush hog with the tail  dipped in chart. dye.  with a 4 ought Mister Twister keeper hook with a 1/8 oz weight. I keep it tied on all the time just to flip out around stranded trees and brush.

usually either a shakey head with a finesse worm (some variation of watermelon), or a 5'' stickbait.

Fat free guppy - color varies

30 min

River smallmouth- pointer 100 in chartreuse shad

Largemouth- changes depending on the lake I'm fishing, some of my favorites are a black spro bronzeye popping frog, t-rigged paca craw w/ 1/4 oz tungsten weight, or a white nichols 1/4 oz spinnerbait

#1 Texas Rigged Gene Larew 7 ½ Salty Ring Worm Cinnamon Pepper Neon/June Bug Laminated (Camouflage).

I've given it about 20 to 25 years :)

Bone/Silver Super Spook Jr. anywhere, any time, any fish! I practically can't hit the water without one rod rigged with one.  But ofcourse if the topwater bite just isn't happening I'll grab another rod (the SS stays on for luck at that point!) with a Slug-Go.

I'll give them all day if the fish aren't hitting something else better!

Weightless rigged Pumpkin Seed Senko. I always have one tied on one of my rods.

X2. Color would be Black/Blue Flake for darker water, Watermelon/Black and Red Flake in clearer water.

1/4 oz. Dropshot Roboworm Aaron's Magic Red Flake or Zoom Finesse Worm Watermelon Red Flake.

Depends on temp. If it's Hot I go to one of my "homemade" 10"+ plastics. If it's cool I go to an X rap. Always.

Does Aaron's magic work that well?  I bought some and never used them.  I got the ones that look like a leech along with some different colors.

6" Senko or Fat Ika in water <12' deep. In deeper water,

Mizmo 5 1/2" Grandes.

8-)

Prowler tube, S'not color marinated in BANG!  Pure Craw.  I have it tied on all day.  A 5/16 oz jig is a close second, color varies on water.
