Looking For A Custom Spinnerbait Manufacturer

Featured Replies

So with Picasso going under, I've lost the ability to buy my favorite spinnerbait color. This was Picasso's Red Shad. I've done a Google search but have come up empty. My brother was talking with one guy but the guy he was talking to stopped responding to him so the search goes on. :(

Can anyone recommend a company that could reproduce this color? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Send River Rat316 a pm. He makes semi-custom spinnerbaits in addition to jigs.

Doctor spinnerbait is a sponsor here and he claims to be able to custom build any spinnerbait you could ever need

Or, make it yourself.

Not a sponser anymore, but you can PM him.

Check S.W.A.G. Jigs. You can choose blades, weight, skirt color etc.

Dozer has a pretty huge selection that might have what you need also.

Really? Logo is still up on the side.

I've thought about that but wasn't able to find the exact color I need to do that. One of our members shot me a PM, he makes skirts and is sending me some so looks like I'll be back in business!

I have checked through Dozer's and he doesn't even have the color I'm looking for.

Have you looked at http://www.soblures.com/ ?

They're one of the first places I checked out when I did a google search.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Really appreciate it!

Clear out your cache. That'll fix it.

I got a PM from him not long ago saying he didn't re-up. Will be in the future though. I hope he does, he has one fine spinnerbait IMHO.

New here and hope I don't step on anyone's toes. There are 2 that I use and they are Fat Ratz Lures (Randy) Tru Trac Lures (Lionel). Both make good spinnerbaits and each have made me exactly what I want even though they don't show on their websites. Biggest difference between the 2 are the types of heads they use and the wire size. Hope this helps.

Do you have a picture of it?

Only picture I have right now is one I pulled off the internet (its the upper RIGHT one).

If this is it:

http://danddfishingtackle.com/keystone/goldandnickel3.html

it doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary and it looks like they're still available. Maybe try to match the skirt color up with a spinnerbait of similar design. Should be a skirt manufacturer out there that makes something close.

Out of curiosity, can you post a pic of the color you're after?

x2 on the S.W.A.G. Jigs

The pic I just put up is the only pic I have right now, I lost my last spinnerbait earlier in the year. I've looked for skirt manufacturers before but came up empty on the exact color I would like. The best description I can come up with for it is a reddish, orangish, bubblegum kind of color. IF I can touch base with my brother, I can try to get him to send me a pic of the one Red Shad that he has left.

thats an easy build except for the blade colors. That will be your hard part.
