Favorite 10" Worm

Featured Replies

Ive been hooked on the Culprit 10" worms. Pretty tough. Was thinking about using some Zoom Ol' Monster worms. Anyone have any favorites and good colors?

I've used quite a few Culprit 10 inchers - mostly in Red Shad - it's now pretty much my "standard" 10 inch worm. The Cuprits are durable and available at my WalMart for a decent price. I've used Zoom Ol' Monsters as well but IMO they don't seem to be any more effective for me than the Culprit and are not as durable so I've quit using them.

The only other 10 incher that I use is the BPS "Squirmin' Super Worm" - also in Red Shad. It's durable and has a fatter/bulkier presentation than the Culprits. BPS periodically puts these on sale at a pretty fair price.

Power worm, andaconda, thumper, and the ol sneaky snake. I like the Zoom Mag II worm also but since it's only 9 1/2 inches I guess it doesn't qualify

I like the Zoom OL' Monster in Black/Blue fleck or Black/Red fleck for night fishing or stained water. If I was to complain about them, they could be more durable, but I don't mind spending $4 for a pack of baits that I can get 15-20 bass out of.

RageTail Anaconda or Thumper all the way!

Falcon Craw, blue fleck, junebug and of course, green pumpkin.

Lake Fork Tackle & Rage Tail ;)

Rage Tail Thumper and Anaconda. My favorite colors are Blue Fleck and Red Shad.

B)

All 10" worms are similar in that they are basically 10 inches but with some, there are obvious and important differences... The Anaconda is a larger profile than other 10 inchers and gives full body movement which is good when added vibration and more visibility is needed. Plus it's AWESOME on a Rage Rig (weighted Hook)!. The Thumper has a substantial amount of bulk too but it's a straighter profile. It's more versitile in that it can be pinched down in length and/or the tail can be adjusted from a swimming motion to a side to side flap. These two are all I use and glad some of you like'em as well ;)

BTW, Blue Fleck is a great color FO SHO!

There are many good options around 10", I use most of the time Zoom Ol' Monster 10.5", the thinner Zoom mag II, and culprit's of course, but recently my fishing partner bring to our last, trip the Gene Larew in 11" and those worms are awesome!

Good fising.
