Just wondering what type of music you guys like, I figure since its a fishing site that most of you are probably into country music. personally my favorite music is Heavy Metal, I also like Classic Rock. My favorite band is Iron Maiden.

Lets not lump us all into the country catergory.

I listen to some old country. But mainly in order of favorite.

Melodic Death Metal, Black Metal, Classical (symphony), Punk, Gutter Punk, Ska, Gutter Ska, Heavy Metal, Classic Rock, Hardcore Rap, Gangster Rap, Old School Rap, old country.

Pretty diverse aren't I?

Oh, and my current favorite band is Cradle of Filth.

Yea I may listen to jamey johnson and waylon jennings but litsen mostly to old school rock like tom petty, led zepplin, beatles etc and rap like bone thugs n harmony, nwa, slaughterhouse, eminem, yelawolf etc.

Ya' know, more and more, I find that my favorite new songs are becoming harder and harder to classify into any specific genre.

Most of the stuff I listen to now is a mixture of 2 or more of the following;

Alternative, techno, rock, rap (no ghetto BS), dubstep, R/B.... etc. I like a little of all of it, but all of none of it

Regardless of what I listen to, it really needs to be recorded well, with lots of sub, mids/highs, good separation, etc. What's the point of having a high end stereo system, if it doesn't sound good cranked up ?

Music is pretty important to me though

I'm pretty mixed.Whatever songs good I'll listen to it.

Rap(mostly old school),Country(new and old),R&B,horrorcore rap & Some rock.

Old country such as: Brooks and Dunn, Hank William Jr, Alabama. Rest I bounce around between classic rock, soft rock, alternative, 90s rock, etc. I'm enjoying folk music a lot these days too. here a few bands worth mentioning: The Beatles, John Lennon's solo work, My Morning Jacket, The Avett Brothers, Red Hot Chili Pepper, John Frusciante's solo work, Marshall Tucker Band. I do like lot of songs from random artists without liking all of their work or albums, but that too many to list.

The Avett Brothers and My Morning Jacket are my current favorite.

P.S. No southern man needs Neil Young around.

Little bit of everything besides country. May top bands are the offspring, five finger death punch, all that remains, and the lonely island because they are hilarious the " I just had sex" and "jack sparrow" crack me up.

I'm kinda with Lund, Motown rules, especially if you're a Detroiter. A lot of the Motown people lived in my neighborhood, David Ruffin and Marvin Gaye used to ride motorcycles with us.

My pick would be Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On " album.

As far as putting energy into song and getting the crowd into it......Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, and my favorite Patti Labelle.

Wow! What guy growing up as a Motown fan cannot only sing along to those songs and but can get on the moves groups like the Temptations had.

50's, 60's, early to mid 70's rock, very very limited amount of 80's pop/rock, ALL of the 90's including some rap, and MOST OF THE NEW MUSIC TODAY IS PURE GARBAGE

Some of the more modern urban music I like is Alicia Keys, and new yet, and GREAT is Aloe Blacc.

Also really like fiver finger death punch. Hard rock, but not that growling non sense I can't understand.

I listen to almost everything though today's country, 90's rock/pop, and hard rock/not metal octane station, even the message channel-new christian music

It's a music conversation but when listening to the xm, I also listen to plenty of talk radio.
