Faustino those are great pictures but it doesn't look like you're "pond hopping". You're making me jealous!

Hey Guys,  Haven't been on here in a million years but, since I've been away I've had some luck. All these fish were weighed and released. The picture at night was at Chickasaw Gardens. 7lbs

  • Saw this one crash the bank on some shad. He took the squarebill in two casts. It was so windy, I had to cast it inland to get it to fall in his zone a few feet off the bank. 3.2lbs, Johnson-fountains

  • Recent catches since Sunday. Top-3.8, bottom left-3.6, bottom right-2.9. All on t-rigged worms of different colors, all between 8:30am and 10:30am. Johnson Park ponds.

Back to the Memphis ponds... went from super active to slow again after the couple days of rain. Daycare and Grove were both very active, we pulled out a couple nice fish last week. The last 3 days have produced nothing at all. Just left Daycare - a guy pulled up and dumped some fish in the pond while I was there.

Hey, guys just finished fishing nashoba, caught a good 2lber on a 1/2 oz chatterbait with lakefork magic shads all white and dipped tail chart. Then switched to a 1/2 oz Strike king heavy cover swimjig in bluegill, with a Yamamoto swimming senko trailer and tail dipped chart and caught a 4 lber.

Oh btw saw a freaking beaver!! Freaked me out big time lol

Hi guys. My name is cole and I'm new to bass fishing, but it has been love ( obsession) from the first bite. I was looking to do some fishing with some people who know what they are doing. If anybody is interested in fishing with me I would be grateful.

Cole i have no clue what im doing but i love to fish. Ive never fished once since moving from knoxville to memphis so if you ever want to beat the banks with another amatuer, let me know. That goes for anyone else as well. Email me jdouglas@taketheforty.com

G im off work Tuesday, got somewhere in mind? Email me at jdouglas@taketheforty.com

Dhuskey and I did ok, caught a few! He had(what we believed) a real good sized bass snap his 10lb test line!

Good to hear.  Where did ya'll go?

Jeff

Me and G hit Neshoba ( chik fil a) on Tuesday morning. I got all my bites on a black and blue spinnerbait. Tried a senko wacky rigged with no bites. The previous Sunday morning i hit Collierville civic center with Cole. There were schools of bass surfacing for shad but just barely out of casting range. We still managed to catch a couple. I appreciate Cole and G taking me out on my first two Memphis fishing trips. First of many.

What part of neshoba is good to fish?

I'm going Sunday morning if anyone wants to join. I'll more than likely try Neshoba again (chik fil a pond) unless anyone wants to go somewhere else.

Ill be there for sure

Yall get flooded out?

Jeff

Yeah Jeff this weather is ridiculous. I might try tomorrow if it lets up at all. Been pouring for about 18 hours now.

If you go anywhere, try and cast a t-rig onto the bank and drag it off.  Seems to work well right after rain, as bass are feeding on things that have been washed into the ponds!

Jeff

Neshoba is completely under water. The running trail, park benches, all of it. The water is up several feet and is the color of chocolate milk. There's a considerable current towards the spillway behind chik fil a. Also i stepped on an ant hill, so yeah...awful day.

New here also but would definitely like to know about more ponds to hop around to. Some my friends and I are looking around and saw/fished many places but really haven't had any luck. We are also very inexperienced with bass fiahing since we have only been trying for a month or 2. Will definitely be paying attention to this thread

NorthMS, I've only tried 3 spots here. Collierville civic center, Neshoba park, and grove park. Neshoba is probably my favorite when the water condition is good. Right now it's still pretty awful from the flood. Hitting grove park early tomorrow.

I have only tried shea rd a few times with no luck at all. Ive been interested in the civic center, Neshoba, and the spot by the high school ever since I read people talking about them on here.

NorthMS I've done pretty well following the advice on here. Pm me if u want to go fishing. I go just about every week

Cole and myself did ok at Grove Park on Sunday morning. We both had a nice one on a buzz bait.

Thats a nice fish Dhuskey! Bigger than what ive been catching haha.

Cole, ill definitely shoot you a PM and go fish with you guys! My buddy and I are mostly weekend fishers

It's bigger than what I've been catching too. Cole caught one about the same. Grove Park seems to have some bigger fish but maybe not as many bites overall. Just my experience so far.
