To All My Memphis Pond Hoppers!

Featured Replies

Seems any bites are hard to find, or maybe im just not doing something right. All my bites have been on a T-rig with craws. Ive had 1 bite on a ribbon tail worm but they have all been under a pound

Hey Guys,  Haven't been on here in a million years but, since I've been away I've had some luck. All these fish were weighed and released. The picture at night was at Chickasaw Gardens. 7lbs

  • Saw this one crash the bank on some shad. He took the squarebill in two casts. It was so windy, I had to cast it inland to get it to fall in his zone a few feet off the bank. 3.2lbs, Johnson-fountains

  • Recent catches since Sunday. Top-3.8, bottom left-3.6, bottom right-2.9. All on t-rigged worms of different colors, all between 8:30am and 10:30am. Johnson Park ponds.

Everything I caught lately is on dark buzzword or liplss crankbaits

*buzzbait

I plan to go get some buzzbaits and cranks this weekend. Possibly a few more spinnerbaits as well. Anyone gonna be doing some fishing this weekend?

For the Rage Tail fans among us, the Memphis BPS now has the new Rage Bug in stock in a few colors (as of today).

Thanks JDJ, good to know. North MS, I get out every Sunday morning as long as weather isn't like it is right now (heavy thunderstorms).

I definitely hear you on that Dhuskey. Ill shoot you and cole a pm this weekend and see if yall want to meet up

Im planning on grove park sunday morning for anybody who is interested

Cole, you can definitely count me in. Isn't grove the one near Houston high? I know where the school is but when I google mapped it I saw a couple bodys of water, just not sure which one it is

It's on dogwood creek drive. Bring some dark colored topwater bait

Cole, what time do you plan to get to the pond in the morning?

Guys, just heard that Grove Park in Germantown is closed until further notice.  They found something in the water and have called in a biologist.  I know this information is vague, but I have a friend who lives in the neighborhood and that's all I got in the way of info.  If I get more I will pass it on.

Not this morning.

It was very busy this morning. Fortunately the buzz bait bite was still on and I got to meet Kent, which was a pleasure.

Man I hated having to bail.. is the info true about the grove guys?

As of 9am this morning it was still open and they were still biting.

I just talked with Parks & Recreation. Grove is closed today (Monday) for routine

water testing. There is nothing wrong or suspected, just an annual check-up for

this and all other Germantown parks.

Thanks for the info roadwarrior, I didn't get to fish the grove this past weekend due to an emergency. I plan to get a line wet out there this weekend for sure though

My nephew and his first fish at grove Sunday

Thanks for the clarification Roadwarrior and very glad to hear nothing was up. I will check in with my friend, not sure if the info came from an HOA email or what...

Anybody going to the grove this weekend? If it's raining like it is now on Sunday I'll still end up going.

I will more than likely be there around 6 but I can't stay very long. Weather could be a factor.

I hear ya, as long as it's not pouring rain or lightening and thundering I'll be out there. Little rain doesn't botherror me too much
