just curious as to what your guys' favorite jig trailers are and do you have one trailer and color that you use on all your jigs? ive seen guys use the same style trailer and color on every jig thats why i ask.

I've had consistant success with Fat Alberts Twin Tails (Rootbeer/ pepper-green) behind booyah jigs. If I want a larger presentation there are a number of other trailers I will use. Fat Albert is my favorite.

I'm a simple newbie, but I try to match the trailer to not just the skirt, but also to the water and surrounding foliage. At this juncture, I only use Reaction Innovation's Sweet Beaver simply because that's all I have. Currently, I'm using the green pumpkin as it matches the murky water color. As my last post praising the jig makes clear, I'm having tremendous success right now.

I only use Kalin's trailers, but I'm thinking abou giving Rage trailers a try.

Chigger craws are money. I prefer the natural colors.

These,

WaveWorms tiki grass craw. they're cheap (75 cents for 10 right now) , pretty durable, come in a variety of colors, and are scented well.

awesome guys thanks for the replies, keep em comin! lol just to throw my favorite out there, mines a yamamoto double tail grub in cinnamon/black flake. i use this style and color id say about 90% of the time.

rw, i use em on occasion and they do produce. only issue being theyre a bit hard to find around my neck of the woods. theres one store that carries them and they dont carry very many. i can order them yea but just havent got around to it. i will soon tho.

I'm a big fan of the Netbait Paca Chunks and also the Rage Tail Craws. Netbaits are cheap but you only get 5 in the package and the craws detach pretty easily.

I use a few diffrent ones depending on the mood of the fish, as well as water temp. If water is warm and fish are active, i will use a trailer that moves alot of water. I have custom craws and twin tail grubs poured for me, and i also like netbait paca craws and/or rage tail craws. Now for coolwe water with less active fish, i will go with a beaver of some type. I would suggest changing trailers throughout the day, alot of times the bass will prefer one over the other

Strike King KVD chunks, Jr size on small jig, Sr size on bigger jigs.

Rage tail chunks, zoom creepy crawlers, paca chunks, bps tripple ripple craw, mr. twister split double tail, and pepperjigs trailer when you want a bigger trailer. Get those in two colors each (green pumpkin and black/blue), and you will be set.

rage chunks or rage craws. they last a few fish on a good day per craw

X2, I was turned on to the Rage Tail this winter, I have never had a fishing experience like the first time I used them with anything else.

As for color, I generally stay close to what ever jig color I am using.

Really depends on the cover I'm fishing, the type of action, and the fall rate I'm looking for. For the most part, I use the following jig trailers with a 1/2oz jig setup: Sweet Beaver (fast fall rate, minimal action), Havoc Fatty Craw (slow fall rate, medium action), Rage Chunk (medium fall rate, maximum action). Those three jig trailers comprise ~95% of the jig fishing I do. If I need to change up the fall rate or if I am fishing heavier/sparcer cover, I will do so by changing the weight of the jig....i.e. 3/4oz jig with rage chunk trailer for fast fall rate, max action, etc....

I mostly use finesse jigs with paca chunks

Zoom Super Chunk or Yum Chunk on bigger jigs in 55 degree and colder. Rage Chunk or craw when warmer. Paca Chunks are also good for 1/4 oz jigs. So many great options. If you want action, lot's of action, RAGE is it.

I use the zoom chunk, and they offer a few different varieties. Chunk, Chunk JR., Super Chunk, Swimming Chunk, Vibrating Chunk.

Virbrating zoom chunk, regular zoom chunk, and paca craws all top my list. Rage trailers catch fish, and they are good too. The issue I have with them is their cost-to-benefit ratio. They are high priced and extremely fragile compared to other top contenders. No doubt they work, but my pinchers get pulled off constantly and for that price its hard to stomach it. If your fishing an area with all 5lb fish and no small ones or gills to pick at your trailer, they would be a little better choice.

I prefer those others because they have similar catch rates (especially the paca and vibrating zoom) and are cheaper priced. For the most part they are more durable as well. Sometimes I'll throw on the tail section of my favorite worm, but not often. Yum money craws also are a good beefed up choice.
