went out to texas to visit my sister and couldnt resist the bass calling me only was able to fish a few times but got pretty good results in those few days enjoy! we caught probably 30 bass or more every day we went out but not all of them were good sized like most of these.

i caught this turtle and thought it was a huge bass and was so stoked once i saw it was a turtle i was bummed!

The best way to tell if that bass is a spot is to close the mouth and see if the fold of the mouth ends before the eye. The tongue may also be rough, but that characteristic has been found in largies before as well. Spots generally fight differently as well. They are mean little guys, tons of fun on a fly rod.

That last one looks like a spot but depending on where in Texas you were I believe there are a couple of the less abundant species of bass down there like the Guadalupe bass. Looks very much like a spotted bass to me.
