bass from France

At first a little presentation :
i use to read this forum since several month and i think it's really helpfull !!
i live in south of France ,where i fish all species catchable with a lure in freshwater (i'm 100% lureman ,100% catch and release)
In my aera the main specie is gess what .... largemouth bass 8-) they 're not so big than in the U.S but you can catch some nice northen bass up to 4 lbs and in a lucky day a 6 lbs what is a huge bass in Europe.

Nice French Bass!!!
In which part of southern France do you live? I was recently (early September) in the Arles and Avignon area, and I saw some wonderful canals, as well as a nice reservoir on the Rhone. But unfortunately I did not have a chance to try for bass (or any other fish either...)

Those bass has been caught near Avignon ,maybe in the reservoir you've seen nearby the rhone !!!
Actually the reservoir was on the Rhone, if I remember well maybe 30Km or so to the west of Avignon, I believe it is called Beaucaire. I did see some big carp in it.
The canals I saw were in the Le Sambuc area, near the Valat Biological station, they had lots of overhanging trees and bushes, and I actually did see some people spinning there as we passed by...

This tournament is to the fishing what tha rider's cup is to golf. Europeans against USA, one guy from each team on the same boat. the heaviest bag at the end of the day bring one point for his team!
US win for the third time this year. We'll catch up soon!

hello here's a spanish bass we take during training before the Eurobass cup 2006!
This tournament is to the fishing what tha rider's cup is to golf. Europeans against USA, one guy from each team on the same boat. the heaviest bag at the end of the day bring one point for his team!
