  1. While reading your post I could have sworn the problem was that your computer wouldn't let you put a capital letter at the beginning of each sentence.
  2. I start packing tonight. I'm so excited I can't stand it.
  3. I hope not. I just made five more last night.
  4. Just to confirm. Here's who's riding with me. Monday - ghoti Tuesday - Chris at Tech Wednesday - 00 Mod Thursday - scrutch
  5. Print it out and carry it with you. Here at the Hospital I work at we have a "No Smoking on hospital grounds" rule. Several months ago there was a family member of a patient smoking on the sidewalk just outside of the hospital. A cop pulled up and asked him to step off the property or put the cigarette out. The guy pulled a piece of paper out that he had printed out. It was the tax assessors map of the hospital property that plainly showed that the sidewalk was owned by the county and not the hospital. After the cop picked his jaw up off the ground he decided he need to move on.
  6. There's one on fishingskirts.com http://fishingskirts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=99&products_id=1116&zenid=e8849b036b896dc13ee93fac6ebf2334
  7. Dad-gum, I guess I'll have to take my camo shorts back to the store now.
  8. I used to throw poppers on one. It is a blast.
  9. I love fishing in the wind. The stronger the better. With a big trolling motor, a big drift sock, and a adjustable lean seat it makes it possible to fight the wind. You just can't be in a hurry or it becomes a safety issue. I hate fishing cold, muddy water in the winter. It sucks. If I see that I just go home.
  10. That is awesome. Congrats man.... I know your heart was pumping hard.
  11. I'm just glad the dang tournament is over. Now I can get all these old, rich, non driving fools out of my town.
  12. You make a good point Catt. I have the opportunity to take new fishermen out almost every day I'm guiding. When the ask that question I do a simple demonstration. I take their lure in my hands and go to the back of the boat and have them stand up in the front of the boat with rod in hand. I tell them to shut their eyes and a take my forceps out of my pocket. With the line semi slack I lightly tap it just above the lure. I ask them if they felt that in their hands and they almost always say yes. I tell them that is a bite..... Problem solved.
  13. First of all welcome to BassResource. We are glad to have you. As for your question. First of all take a look at your rod. Just above where the reel goes you should see some information that will tell you the action of the rod, and the recommended line and lure weight that the rod can handle. Keep the pound test of your new line within those recommendations and you should be fine. Braided line is great for spinning reels but not so great in clear water. Mono line is a good started but has a lot of stretch. My suggestion is get a co-polymer line like Yozuri Hybrid or Izorline XXX. They are both good lines and have great properties. And most importantly they are fairly cheep.
  14. I only have one lure in my box that I would dive for if I ever loose it. I've been fishing it for at least 8 years and it no longer has paint on it but for some reason I always catch a fish on it. It may not be a bass but it very seldom lets me down. It only payed $2.50 for it back then. It is a 1/4 oz Blue and Chrome Strike King Diamond Shad that I bought on clearance at BPS. You don't have to spend that much to get a great lure.
  15. You bet we are man. And I've got an old sweaty GA hat for you.
  16. I'll be arriving in Gville around 6am on Monday the 23rd, a day earlier than I originally planned. The back of the boat is open. If anyone wants to go on a boat ride with me please let me know. I'm not promising any fish. I'm going to spend most of the day finding a few patterns and burning gas. It should be fun.
  17. Yep, Get a hold of Chris Brown. He'll take care of you.
  18. I use a plug knocker so I don't lose very many cranks. I may break off three or four jigs a month. I had one day last month were I found 2 Stike King and 3 Lucky Craft cranks.
  19. I know you're very proud Tina. Tell Tyler congratulations from all of us here at Bass Resource.
  20. Perhaps the best Replicas I've ever seen. http://www.2lbgil.com/taxidermy/
  21. This is exactly what I was going to say. A 7/0 flipping hook is almost useless.
  22. I don't........ People who know me know I fish. I don't need to show it off.
  23. So what you are saying is that I shouldn't wear my Mercury shirt when fishing from my kayak.
  24. Not exactly true. Please refer to this thread. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12981-how-do-i-remove-a-hook-a-bass-has-swallowed/page__st__15
