After a week of emailing W&M i gave up on getting any help from them. having to insure a broken rod and send the whole rod back makes no sense (to me). sooo.....im in BPS looking for a new rod today and im telling a buddy who works there the short version of my dealings with W&M. my buddy tells his boss, who tells his boss, and before i know it im holding store credit in my hand for my full cost on the W&M rod. i was so happy, i ordered a Shimano Cumara CUC70M.

Daiwa Sol. better gearing than the curado and will handle baits as well.

the costs are as follows: ship all of broken rod, insured to W&M, with a check for $30, then if they decide your broken rod should be warrantied, they send you another rod. W&M will not let me cut the broken rod down to cut the shipping charges.

different quality gear. i can see investing the extra $$$.

real soon, im going to be listing a few of these rods on the flea market. if someone wants to pay the shipping costs they can have the new warrantied rod if they buy the others.

i see what you are saying. i dont see there being a need for an excuse personally. Chael was on top of Anderson for 23 mins and then cried mercy. i dont think Anderson owes Chael a rematch yet, but i would love to see it.

how hard did they beat the hell out of you testng for your black belt? from what ive read, Anderson cracked a few ribs in the first round, and got beat like a rag doll for 3 1/2 more rounds until choking Chael out.

unless youre comfortable stripping the reel and checking the bearing, id send that booger in for service. if you dont mind stripping the reel down, you can take the crank handle off, remove the side plate, and pop that bearing out. could be the bearing has failed, or could be a large amount of lube has made its way to the bearing letting the reel spin backwards.

not much. i toss cranks 70% of the time so the only money i spend is when a fluke accident happens and i lose a crank or terminal tackle and worms. im 98.3431% sure ive not spent over $100 on tackle this season.
