since that pic ive added a P22 for my son, and a P99 for myself. the P-22 is a dream to shoot i might add. shooting with my son is one of my fav. things to do. if his grades hold out im giving him a custom Mod. 12 16 ga.
  2. you think you get much out of the OS bearings?
  3. i would assume the PQ to cast light baits much the same as a Revo. i would think they both cast baits well if they are anything like the STX and the blue BPS reel i have.. personally, id look for a Daiwa Fuego or a Daiwa Sol. the retrieve is higher on both reels but you should learn to adjust to that quickly. both also cast lighter baits very well.
  4. anyone wants to donate their broken Rapala baits to a good cause, let me know. ill make it worth your time.
  5. i dont mind losing a bait.
  6. that ditch is where were setting up this season. we found many big rubs and deer trails that looked like 6 lane highways. lastly, the only way there is by boat or a 7 mile walk.
  7. i doubt it. its possible youre softer on your baits.
  8. depends on the the model/year. all things considered, i could think of many things worse than doctored boat stickers.
  9. they can be the same at times. to me those terms define more a style of fishing more than the bait its self. i go cranking a lot. 99% of your crank baits are hard baits. you can use a typical crank bait as a jerk bait, it all depends on how you retrieve the bait. i know im jerkin my cranks into and over every rock and log i see. typical jerk baits are twitched/jerked in the retrieve, i also try to bounce those baits off everything in the water. jerk baits can be hard treble baits or soft single hook baits.
  10. ive done that a few times, its never that easy.
  11. id look for a Shimano Compre rod over the Extreme. the Extremes are a heavy stick. the Falcon Original isnt the worst idea either but BPS is sort of skinning on them.
  12. i thought that for years until i bought a Cumara Reation rod. did i need it? no. but it makes a huge difference over the Falcon Lowrider.
  13. fished Hillsdale yesterday. wind kicked our butts. boated 13 bass, 3 walleye. on a side note, the wind was the only reason we caught fish IMO.
  14. as an ex-long time season ticket holder, IMO the chiefs are out coached on a regular basis. Matty should stick to BackStreet Boys, and Russel should demand a trade.
  15. i fished with one of those for a few hours last night. had a Daiwa Sol mounted on it running a 5/16 oz crank. the rod felt just like a Skeet Reese rod.
  16. can you define crappy gas milage? 14-16 mpg in a small truck... I get 12-13.xx city mpg in my Dodge with a 5.9l gas engine fully loaded... all of my 4.0's have been over 17 mpg. in fact i complain when the mileage drops that low. my 5.0 Mountaineer was around 16 mpg as the norm.
  17. can you define crappy gas milage?
  18. thats the milage on my Ranger when i sold it for a Mercury Mountaineer. weve also had 2 Explorers that have never been a problem.
  19. Skip the soapy water, no good can come from that. ive always flushed my bearings with a cleanser of some type after the degrease. i think youll be ok IF the last thing you do is rinse the bearings in very hot water. thats just me though
  20. you can go to Boca on line and order them. at one time they offered a guide on what bearings they had for what reels. to be honest, id forget about new bearings and send the reel in for service, when you get it back it wont feel anything like what you had.
  21. how old is the reel?
