i read a bird crapped on chuck norris and this is what happened.

the rods are not bad rods. ive owned 2 and liked them. the problem i have is the warranty. the OP says thats not an issue. what model did you not like? i tried my friend's spinnerbait/worm rod....like fishing a wet noodle. way too floppy. i bought a lamiglas excel, its a 100x better rod than the tessara. its stiffer, you can actually fish a worm on it. the only rod i would think of buying from that line up is the cranking rod. that rod makes the perfect small crank bait rod.

the problem is the Nitros no longer compete with the newer rod fads...

cant tell you which "is the best", but the Falcon Original is one of the best un-spoken of rods youll ever use. i have 2 and i love them.

whats more important? the rated poundage of a reel or a smooth drag in general? i have always thought drag ratings by the manufacturers was a wives tale of sorts since i dont know of anyone that cranks the drag down tight and goes bass fishing. wouldnt a smooth drag serve better?

i have a Cumara Reaction Cast Rods 6'9" Med Xfast and i love it for smaller cranks. id give it a shot.

thats impressive that the reel out casts the Revo S. ive never fished with a Carbonlite but thought they felt like they should cast. my Revo S is mounted on a Shimano Compre Crankbait rod and will cast a 1/4 oz Bandit crank into next year.

nice! that said there is as much luck in that shot as there is skill, especially if that is a .223 in your hands.
