i agree 1000%. quality reels already have quality bearings. cleaning them and a proper lube will be more than dropping in "magic" bearings. JMO

I disagree. If you exercise proper technique, you shouldn't break rods fishing. Not on a bass, anyway- even with braid. We do all kind of crazy stuff to rods, then bash the companies because they don't give us a warranty replacement. When the company does give us a warranty replacement for our own carelessness, we gripe and say the rods are too expensive. Go figure. the fist pic is the old mans kung fu ninja hookset, the second pic is me setting the hook. rods are going to break, might be a problem with the rod, might be a problem with the user. JMO oh....last pic is me trying to free a snagged bait.
