i have no opinion on those reels, but i would look at Falcon Lowrider rods or the Skeet Reese Worms/Spinnerbaits rod, and lastly the Shimano Compre CB rods. if you get a wild hair, start looking for a Daiwa Sol. great reel.

every time you suggest this product i think about the traveling salesman from Outlaw Josey Wales. where the salesman is offering the product to Josey, and then Josey spits on the guys jacket. i wonder if Goo Gone would clean the guys jacket........ im going to get a starter bottle of that stuff, not to clean my reels, but just to see what else it will clean.

No sir the SOL is no longer being made.... Could be, but it's still on their website and it's still available. every retailer around here has stopped selling them. i was just putting 2 + 2 together.

this is the exact place i would bring a problem like this if i was a 17 year old. that said, any of the guys on here not "dating" at 17 is either telling fish stories or have no idea what they were missing. i did however always date close to my age.

im not sure what Daiwa does from here........... they killed the Sol (huge mistake IMO) they killed the Fuego (another huge mistake) i like the Zillion a lot. im a huge Daiwa homer and im on the fence about some of their gear the last few years. this kid will be looking for used Sols and Zillions when he buys his next reels.

agreed. another rod id look at is the Compre CPC-C70MB Crankbait Cast Rod 7' Medium. its a good lower end rod.

for the money i think the 570 is a great choice. the unit on my brothers boat works great.
