How many more BPS threads by eyedabassman??
so what? another post that should be bronzed. typically when i know i have no interest in threads i ignore them. thats just me though. if i see a post from a poster i respect i might give the thread a quick once over but otherwise i move on.

W+M Skeet Reese rod VS. Bass Pro Shops CarbonLite rod
i bought that rod on impulse. my plans are to use the rod for shaky head, tubes, weightless worms and such. i like the feel of the rod for weightless plastics. i do know you can throw a 5" fluke a good distance with the right reel.

1983 Bass boat for sale w/ no outboard. Weak transom. How can I rebuild this?
the transom is the back area of the boat where the motor mounts. if its "weak", its started to rot out and needs to be replaced. i dont know a lot about the topic but i know its never an easy fix. a while back there was a thread where one of the member used an epoxy i believe to rebuild their transom. id be scared of the stringers as well, they could be getting soft. as far as motors, youll just have to make sure whatever you strap on the boat doesnt exceed the boat rating. you might be ahead looking at something else.

all casting rods are 9 to 11 inches up when you do that.they are all tip heavy which is why i balance all my rods.the 7 foot MBC70MHF weighs 4.6 oz. , hardly what i'd call heavy. i have the MBC70MF, and the MBC70MHF and without the reel theyre about 22". its by far the most tip heavy rod i have. also, i never stated anything about the weight of the rod, just how the rod balances. if you like them thats fine, but a tip heavy rod to me is annoying. Are you measuring from the reel seat? Or the butt of the rod? right, i did notice i said reel seat and measure from the butt.

Sure Set Hooks
im not so sure the hooks are anything more than a gimmick. i always replace my the sure sets on DT series baits with owners hooks now and land more fish.

Daytona 500

id lay a piece of 1/8 steel plate over the hole and spike it to the pavement. they could also just put a big red cone in the hole and wish the drivers good luck.

im not sure how sold i am on rod specs. there is no indusrty standard so who knows for sure what youre buying. when you go back to look at rods, take the reel youll be using with you, spooled, with a rubber weight. play around in the store. the BPS here cut the tags off the rod for me to play with, the store you go to might do the same. i am a huge fan of Falcon Lowriders. i also bought the Wright & McGill SR rod, more as an impulse but i like how the rod feels with a Daiwa Sol mounted. im also a fan of the BPS Extreme rods. they might be a little heavier over all but after you get used to the grip they preform well.

Here is a golden opportunity for all the young folks looking for fishing money!
I'm really curious how I'm wrong. You're telling me that people everywhere, college educated or not aren't struggled in the current job market? Like I said, I hope you do well. I don't know you or wish any ill will on you. I'm just being realistic. Once you graduate, you're joining a long list of people looking for work. It may take you a long time to find a job in the field you specialize in. It may not. I realize you're going to be in a job market that has a shortage of people in it. But you've got to remember, that you aren't the only person trying to get an aerospace degree. i know a young lady who did very well through school. Boston U. shes now doing boot camp in the Air Force. if i had the choice id go Civil engineer.

im really not a fan of these sticks at the 7' lengths. when youre in the store, use your finger as a balancing point and see how far up you have to go to get the rod to balance. its quite a ways away from the reel seat.
