Boat Trailer tire brands
...with a flat or missing tire. I checked my truck jack long ago to a flat but when I blew a tire and lost it, the jack was too tall to fit under with the trailer on a bare rim. :-/ With a little luck and some quick thinking we made a spacer and used the truck to pull the trailer's bare rim up and onto it, creating those last few needed inches of height. ...lol ive got a tote that has a small 2 ton floor jack, a real breaker bar, extra lug nuts, a loaded hub. ive only had to change 2 flats on the side of the road and after the first one i swore id be ready for the second. youd be suprised how many boaters have no way to remove the lugnuts on their boat trailer because the tire iron to their truck/car/suv doesnt fit.

Kill Creek - Olathe Kansas
i still fish the lake a lot. if you dont have a boat id just pick on the dam end with plastics. they have sprayed the weeds a lot but they keep coming right back. great for the fish, stinks for the fishermen.

Mojo Rod Re-Review
i bought these rods on the hype. i liked the rods at first. then the little things start getting noticed. the grip is so small it magnifies the fact the rods are overly tip heavy. when casting i dont feel like i have a good grip on the rod. i had mounted a Sol and a Curado 200 on these rods. ive not used either of these rods for a few weeks. im bored around the house and pick up the plastics Mojo and a Revo STX i have sitting around, mount the reel. i used this set-up for 3-4 hours yesterday and its not bad. the rod is still tip heavy but i was tossing 3/8 oz. jigs with a trick worm trailer, palming, one finger under the trigger. still not the most sensitive rod but i didnt miss a fish (that i know of) all day. for me the grip kills an ok rod. theres just not enough of it.

Need help identifying a fish I caught
doing a search for the fish known to be in the area might be a start. kansas does a good job of listing species and pics of fish in the area.

What baits to get?
i think id be trying to talk to long mike. i think thats his home lake. although i could be wrong.
-
What would you buy?
id go fishing with what you have. ive been out fished by my father using shakespeare gear on more than one occasion. i am not against dropping $$$ on rods though. i like Falcon and Fenwick rods but the Loomis rod gets a ton of play by RW so the GLX wouldnt be a bad idea i guess. is the Sol with the $$$ over the Symetre? youll have to ask someone else but i couldnt imagine a Symetre ever having a problem.

Old standard Storm Wiggle Wart
Wow, this bait brings back some of my best fishing memories. Back in June of '94, '95 and '96 my Dad, 2 brothers and I took 3 consecutive trips to Ontario several hours north of Lake Nipigon, which is N. of Lake Superior, in an extended cab truck w/ three tents, a john boat, 2 cans of Fix-a-Flat, and a chain saw. We couldn't afford a fancy outfitter to fly us in, and back then it was still legal to get access without one, so we got a hold of some old gov't logging maps and found a way to drive via abandoned dirt trails 10 hours beyond the last paved road somewhere north of Jellico. We camped on Crown land next to the water in tents for 6 days / 6 nights accompanied by one porcupine, 78 million black flies and 42 million mosquitoes. Needless to say, the walleye were nothing short of astounding. At the end of those trips, and I won't admit on this forum just how many were caught, (many released, most consumed) the Storm crankbaits we picked up in MI on the drive up looked exactly like this guy. I still have those baits - every tooth mark, scratch and scrape take me back to that campsite a little bit. Sorry for the long post, seeing that ole crank kind of hit a soft spot. ive been swimming for that bait. it has one last fish in its future then its headed to the wall of fame.

UFC fans....how will Kimbo do in this season's Ultimate Fighter??
chuck liddell was all stand up with a really good take down defense. ill admit kimbo is years behind but a street fighter that can keep the fight on the feet can IMO do well in MMA. i hope he does reall well and gets tossed in front of brock. ;D
