  6. i like them all equally. the Compre feels quicker in my hands but that could just be me. i dont think youll go wrong either way you go.

  10. the last fight tito was in he got beat like a rag doll. i think the fight is a toss up.
  11. i only buy used gear that has a great reputation. i also will make sure that common parts can still be had for the reel. Abu round reels are a safe bet 99.9% of the time. every one ive bought has been passed on and is still working 100%. id also ask what the reel was used for. a reel that done nothing but toss crank baits will have more wear that a reel thats fished plastics its whole life. if i have the reel in my hand and theres line on the reel id mount it on a rod start tossing a test weight. good luck, let us know what you found.

  13. my old aluminum boat was named "my compromise" because thats what it was at the time.
  14. id make a small sponge filter and put in the tank. then check the ammonia levels.
  15. impart..............lol no really. crankbait retrieve is all about sporadic action on the part of the bait. a rod with less backbone will let the bait bounce and deflect off the bottom and hang in grass, which triggers the strike. the heavier the rod, the more affected the bait will be - less action. this is just my opinion. id love to read more by other members.
  16. id agree with that pick. Cabelas Tourey Trail rods also wouldnt be the worst idea ever. ive fished those for years.
  17. seeing the guide problem the stix had is enough for me to pass on them at any price. out of the 3 id keep looking at rods. if i had to choose id take the mossyback per reviews by other members.
  18. parents play the game as much as kids play the game.
  19. i assume Denver fans are enjoying the game.
  20. stuck by a good friend. im taking my son out for his first deer hunt this weekend on walk in land. we will see how it goes.
  21. 6'6" in a split grip for under a C Note gives you few options. id add the Berkley® Lightning Rod® Shock Series to the list. ive not fished with this rod but i did spend about 30 mins in the store with a Sol mounted on the rod tossing a 3/8 oz practice weight. i liked everything about the rod. i wouldnt set your mind to split grips, that removes a lot of good rodsout of the game. also, if you can take your reel to the store and play around.
  22. i heard Muddy was staring in the remake of Rocky II.
  23. i understand the drag is touchy but why replace the drag star?
