Anybody here had a vasectomy?
a case of beer and 3 big bags of frozen peas. i made myself sit in a soft chair and do nothing for 48 hours. frozen peas are perfect to sit on, they can be broken up while still frozen and can be formed to the area needed to keep cold. holding still is the hardest part of the whole thing.

For all you shotgunners
what Micro said. ive hand loaded Remington Greens a butt load shooting trap and had cases crack but i have never had them separate from the brass. id give the left over ammo to someone with a single shot shotgun. then id buy winchester super x shotshells and know you wont have problems in the field.

is anybody else...
no. most periods in time had some type of struggle. ive got a kid in afghanistan, a daughter going to kansas u, and another son in the 8th grade. heres my worries: whos shooting at my son today. how much is my daughters phone bill going to cost me? how does my younger son keep finding the controller to his Xbox when hes grounded from it for not doing his homework? all of my kids are tougher than me. they make school look easy. the world should be scared of my kids.

Dry firing a gun?
The answer to the original question applies only to rimfired ammo, that is where the casing is struck on the side of the casing and not on a primer cap. To answer Jack's question, in the military, dry firing the weapon is good way to familarize your self with a gun and practice aiming. Lots of guys who are required to stand a watch on the Quarterdeck that have never held a gun before entering the service. We take the .45 caliber pistol and put paper on the wall with circle the size of a dime on it. Put a regular sharpened pencil in the barrell all the way in the barrell, placing the end of the pencil about an half inch to 3/4's and practice firing. The pencil leaves a dot, show how you squeezed off the round. We teach the sights and such, By dry firing pencils, you will notice that by looking at the dot the pencil makes, if the person is putting too much finger in the trigger and pulling it off on his squeeze. Great teaching method before the range. Lots of things you can correct with this trick before the range. Saves ammo and allows the person to become very familar without ever putting anyone in danger while teaching. I can tell alot from the pencil method, enough to correct a person bad habits before the range. it took me a while to not dip the barrel on a Glock after shooting a custom Kimber. darn trigger pull.

Dry firing a gun?
at the time i shot, NRA rules required a 4lbs trigger pull and they checked every gun closely. i spent hours on a 1911 before i sent the gun to be custom fit.

Dry firing a gun?
an EMPTY .22 case is all you need. put it in the chamber when dry firing. i did this a lot installing a Power Customs action in my 10/22.

Abu Garcia Vendetta Rods VS. St. Croix Mojo Bass Rods
i have 7 or 8 rods sitting around i bought because "they" said the rod was a good stick. 2ManyCranks loves his Mojo rods, i however do not. Who is right? we both are. i did a re-review in the rod a few weeks back after not using it for a few months. it was still the same rod for the most part. tip heavy. i would list the retail stores close to you and the rods they carry for reviews of those rods by ppl who use them. take you time picking a rod out. take your reel with you. store fish the rod. let us know what you got, and welcome to the forum!

How do you make a crankbait dive deeper
Wouldn't that seriously mess with the action? nope. i do it with DT4's and lipless cranks all the time.

The Bait monkey
i said other. fishing in kansas theres not a huge need for a semi truck full of baits. id much rather spend time and money going to the lake and using the baits i have that i know work. id be shocked if i spent over $200 on baits this year. the boat................thats a different story.

How to fix a semi-auto rifle jam problem?
first thing id do is a front to back side to side cleaning. take note as the bolt location. i had a 742 that jammed every third shot or so. i did a total scrub of the gun and dropped down from 180 gr's to 150 gr's and it shoots like a dream now. i also installed a Sims LimbSaver Barrel De-Resonator. this thing may be the biggest hoax in the world but who knows.

strange
so me and the little lady just spent the weekend in vegas. had a good time, seen 2 great shows, broke even gambling, enjoyed a lot of cocktales. the thing about vegas is you see the craziest things. we went to the venetian to see the dinosours and while on the way to the display we went past the wedding chapel entry. it was on the level above us so naturally i looked up at the brides maids, then i notice while looking up at the brides maids the ones wearing mini-skirts werent really hiding a thing. these ladies either didnt know or didnt care, and how could they not know??? thinking back i might have been able to charge for that show. the second thing is, i found 2 phones. one phone i was able to get ahold of the owner quickly and return the phone. the second phone the owner has yet to call me back. ive left 2 voice mails with all my info on them and now when i try to call the cell number i get owner not available. the phones a blackberry, i assume theyre not cheap. how do you not try to get your phone back??

Falcon LowRider Shakey Head Rod
IMO the correct answer is like you said, anything. stay within the weight limit of the rod and try other methods. you might find it to be the perfect lipless crank rod or spinnerbait rod. im a big fan of the Lowrider line, i hope you like it.
