im going out in the moring with 2 rods and my box of jigs. i know the jig bite is strong on this lake. ill either learn to hook up on jigs or get a sun burn.

are you dead set on a new boat?

turn off the puter take the gear you already have get out and use it. id much rather be fishing than buying crap i dont need.

when you go back to BPS take a good look at the falcon lowrider series. its a good piece.

i dis-agree. i think its the best value there is for the $150 price range. the Revo S is the only thing that competes with the reel.

its duck soup man. its nothing like a hot knife through butter. you could always take some bite out and use 230 grit sand paper. just take your time.

i used an orbital sander with 180 grit paper and really molded the cork on a BPS rod. i also worked over a mojo rod to the point i could remold the the grip with grip tape. id tape off any part of the rod you dont want scuffed before you take sand paper to it though. if you have an old junk rod around id practice on it first before you take a power tool to a good rod.

man that crazy. id love to do a week south of the border and just fish and drink beer.

this is a good point. a good fish is a good fish. i never put a fish on scales enless i think its a double, but i do measure them most of the time out of habit. it is fun to watch the "how big do you think this fish is" threads though..lol.

its a great piece. i wish there was an E6 that was 6.3 to 1.

ive never caught smallies there. it would be the perfect time though to take a kid out in that cove and let them just hook up for a few hours.

Leavenworth lake is HOT right now. jigs and lipless cranks around the grass. we didnt fish the bank in the outlined area much at all. also hit the over flow. enjoy.

the only reason id buy a SX over an S is for the increased gear ratio. if Abu made the S in a 7.anything they would take a huge bite out of the Curado sales.

i dont use anything on plane. being able to "see" the bottom on plane is less importain to me than taking a chance of killing another transducer. i fish the same 6 lakes most of the time so i have a good idea of what im running over.

i know. the reason i moved the transducer up is i would have had it hanging under the boat and dont want to buy side shooter transducers every few months cuzz im a stump hitting fool. also per the instruction the transducer had to be 15" away from the prop at all times and after thinking and some measuring that was the "best" place. it reads great at 25 mph so thats all i need.
