there are like 4 dicks a cabelas a bass pro and a lot of other places near bye.. dicks is over priced... and basspro and cabelas don't carry half of what companies offer... look at the difference in reel and rod selection of the high end brands from bass pro to tackle warehouse and you will see what i mean.. the idea of this is.......................even though these stores dont have every model of rods, they have a few. you can take a reel and store test them, then order the action you want instead of going off the opinions of those that might love what you hate. nothing stinks more than dropping $250 on 2 rods you dont like.

why dont you drive someplace and pick out two rods? there has to be a Dicks or something close.

i wouldnt buy a Mojo until youve played with one in the store. to be honest i wouldnt buy any rod without handling it first. enless youre just dead set on split grips id look at both falcon lowriders and fenwick hmg's. to me personally i dont think i can feel the bite any better with split grip rods.

the line is 17 lb sufix siege. ive never had line slip on the spool that i know of this its possible this is whats happening. just for your info the rod is a Falcon Cara T7 6'6" MHT.

its a new reel.

im using this reel to throw lighter jigs and worms. when im setting the hook it feels like the drag is slipping compared to my Sol. is this due to the wet drag system or what? i feel like im maxed as far as tightening down the drag. anyone else had this issue with the reel? thanks.

you could test run a Helium 2 LTX for the forum.......lol. i read they handle well with a pixy mounted on them.

That's the best route. Or see if you can buy a rod with a longer grip on it, some of the other models/makes have different grip configurations. comfort, balance, leverage or casting control/distance. thats it exactly. the cork isnt long enough to feel like i have a good grip while trying to make longer casts. im beginning to think the rod needs to find its way to the flea market.

not trying to make the grip fatter. im trying to make the grip longer. the only thing grip tape from BPS did was make the blank/cork sticky when the tape failed. i was hoping someone had rebuilt a grip and had an idea.

i wonder how many ppl bought gear from the guy thinking theyre getting the average every day used gear and the truth is theyre getting stolen gear from ppl working 9-5 to tourney fish. what a butmonkey.

im trying to extend the top grip on my Mojo rod. ive tried building up the blank below the grip with tape but it starts to slip and fall off after a few hours of use. any ideas on gluing cork and molding it on the blank below the grip?

Missouri man charged with receiving stolen fishing gear JEFFERSON CITY A Missouri man is facing up to seven years in prison for receiving stolen fishing gear worth tens of thousand of dollars. The Missouri State Water Patrol said Monday that Keith A. Clark of Peculiar was arrested July 11 and charged with a felony for receiving property stolen during fishing tournaments at the Lake of the Ozarks, Table Rock Lake and Truman Reservoir. Water Patrol spokesman Sgt. Jerry Callahan said that so far, Clark only has been charged with one count for receiving the stolen equipment. But Callahan said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible against Clark and other suspects. i still fish 3 or 4 times a week. im getting to the point though its the crack of morning or the last 2 hours of daylight. ive really been thinking about more bank fishing and shorter more technical trips.

2 sets of gear for both. both have their own everything. tool box, life jackets, running lights and so on. the battery is road kill dead since it has just sat since i got the bass boat.
