  1. Just be sure to retie the knot when you get it or you WILL lose both the lure and the lure retreiver.
  2. I started with the 200 and love it. I still use it to this day!!!
  3. +1. I like it because it's easy I I can tie on a bait while night fishing without turning on a light. I can easily bend a owner 2X hook with 50# braid with this knot
  4. If that's all your going to throw and nothing bigger, most MH rods are rated to throw those. I used to throw the 3:16 mighty minnow which is 1.2 oz with a BPS Extreme 7' MH with a Citica 200 with 12# P-Line (Might have been a little light for it). I caught 3-5 pounders with ease with this setup. As far as bigger baits go, I use a Okuma 7'6 H with a cardiff 400 with 25# power pro
  5. Don't forget the 3.50 convience fee if you don't buy it straight from DFG. No griping though, $57.00 for many many days out of the house.... priceless.
  6. It holds all of my big hooks no problem. Just cause they are labeled 1/0, 2/0, etc doesn't mean you HAVE to put that item in there.
  7. Nice Steal man!!
  8. I just went and bought my license for this year and our license increased $1.50 this year. I think now might be a good time to consider getting a lifetime fishing license. I don't even want to know what it's going to be in 10,15, 20 years when I have kids and they start fishing. But for me it is like buying gas, it just has to be done no matter how high it gets. How much did it go up for you guys?
  9. Deadsticking works (So i've heard). Altough when I purposly try it, I haven't got bit, but when I accidently do it (picking out backlash) I get nailed. HMMMMM.
  10. There is one thing that has been grinding my gears lately. All of the "Basstrix" that are littering the ebay.com swimbait search page. Until this phase is over, i'm having to search through 7 pages of swimbaits and 6 pages of them are basstrix. Ahhhhh. >
  11. It looks like a cheap kids type toy with hooks. Wouldn't bother.

    SSSSHHHHHHH
  13. It's all about the falcon. Its $10 but it will be one of the best 10 dollar investments. I've tried so many things to organize my terminal, from adjustable boxes that I super glued the dividers, to non adjustable boxes. But I ended up with the same mess, hooks mixed with sinkers, mixed with weights, mixed with swivels. It was all the same. With the falcon, I could put it in the dryer for hours and everything would stay in it's place. By far the best out there.
  14. It usually takes a little bit to get stuff from ken. It took 2 weeks for the hudd to come. I'd give it till mid next week and i'll bet you'll have them
  15. +1. One reason I love float tubing is that I can fish and move at the same time. I don't like fishing out of kayaks or anything that needs oars because when it's windy, I feel like i'm using the oars more than i'm using the rod. Stick with just flippers.
  16. YES!!!!! Very important step, I forgot to put that in my post. Definately no sense of just covering it up as it is still active.
  17. If it started this good, just imagine how good it's going to end!!! Nice pig!
  18. Me too, i usually just bring my paycheck with me. I'm kinda dissapointed that neither mickey from 3:16 nor Ken from huddleston will be there. Major dissapointment but what are you going to do? I actually won some free tickets from Kent Brown, I was excited about that. They are definately worth going to. Lots of cool stuff, good deals, and good food.
  19. Don't worry, i'm in the same boat, but mine is sparatic, sometimes quick sometimes not. But I have faith in glenn. Being a webmaster myself, I know that with major construction like this, it takes a little while to fix all of the bugs that occur with it.
  20. Too funny, up here I'm alway's looking for a good plastic Leech for 'Eye fishing (I don't care much for real leeches). ;D On the right bite, they'll haul in good numbers of nice fish. So I ended up getting a soda and grabbed the bag of worms. Here's what I got....3 bags of 5" original zipper green weenie, 4 1/2" straight tail Oxblood, and 2 bags of 6" Sculpin FX black bass. I figure if I catch one decent fish with one of the worms, I'll be ahead of the new lure I lost last summer when I snagged it on the bottom and the line broke. First time it got wet. HAHA, that reminds me of that movie with John Candy - THe real outdoors when they are fishing using real leaches, fall asleep, and wake up and they are all over them. Just watched that movie for the first time the other day, pretty funny movie. Well i'm glad to see that your sportsmens had some good stuff left, I think ours had about 100 packs of the leaches and that all.
  21. bran - as in Brandon + uss - as in huss + 04 - as in the year I graduated + branuss04 Easy to remember, i use if for everything
  22. +1, and then when you change your avatar, i'm totally stumped about who you people are!!!
  23. Yea, I went to our sportsmens and all they had was 4.5 in leach style in a shad color. I had to pick some up for .99, even if I don't use them, one day I might have an empty spot in my worm box i'll need to fill.
