  1. The Lucky Craft trebles are made by VMC, but are then sharpened by Daiichi Japan. I'm not a big fan of the standard VMC trebles, I would take an Owner over them any day.
  2. You couldn't go wrong with the Symetre or the Tierra.

Copperheads really seem to mind their own business unless you step on them. Here is a great site about snakes found in NC: http://www.herpsofnc.org/herps_of_NC/snakes/snakes.html
  4. Try drowning it.

Try posting this in the Smallmouth forum....
  6. It creates an unnecessary joint that absorbs some of the crankbait's action.
  7. Wow, for $155 that's a steal. I would spool it with 6 lb. Sniper so you could use it for crappies and as a light bass rig.
  8. A faster reel doesn't equal more depth. Reeling excessively fast overpowers the bait and keeps it from diving correctly. A good comparison is riding a bike up a steep hill. You don't want to use a high gear when you are climbing one. A lower gear provides more torque. The same goes for crankbaits.
  9. Welcome from the High Point area.
  10. x2 The silver and black combination looks awesome.

  12. Duke vs. Carolina
  13. Sunline FC Sniper Berkley Trilene 100%
  14. The Silver Max will feel smoother because the tolerances are less tight than the Curado's. The Curado also could have had its spool tensioned tightened down which also makes it feel less smooth. Another factor to consider is the frame materials. The Silver Max has a "composite" (plastic) frame while the Curado's frame is aluminum. The aluminum frame will keep the gears more correctly aligned after heavy use. The bottom lie is, while the Silver Max will probably serve you OK for a while, the Curado will last longer and perform better over the long haul.
  15. www.talonlures.com The wait is worth it.
  16. Why would you want a stiff rod for deep cranking?
  17. I use Costa Del Mar Fathoms with amber lenses. They run about $120.
  18. Don't you mean Mustad? ;D
  19. Several of them aren't true: http://www.snopes.com/history/american/lincoln-kennedy.asp
  20. Senkos aren't exactly lightweight, they weigh about 3/8 oz.
  21. If you want the rod to arrive in one piece, Fed-Ex.
  22. I don't believe this. In several of the ponds I fish the bass are very conditioned to certain lures. Earlier in the year we caught several on buzzbaits and spinnerbaits, but recently we haven't caught much at all on these lures. In my experiences, if they see a certain lure enough, or get caught by it, they will remember the negative experience associated with it.
  23. This guy sells IMXs for less than GL3 retail: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/701nodaksports_Bass-Mag-Bass-MBR_W0QQ_fsubZ484653012QQ_sidZ862626522QQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em322
