  1. Daiwa's mid-high end reels are very refined. They have tight tolerances and great performance.
  2. I've used the Shaker for the past year or so. As far as catching fish goes, it does a great job. The bait has a wide wiggle (for a flat side crankbait) without much roll. The only negative is that it doesn't track very well if fished at more than a medium speed.
  3. In NC, some creeks are stocked, and some are wild trout waters.
  4. David Hasselhoff played in the NFL? ;D
  5. Only in the mountains. The rest of the state's climate is too warm for Smallmouths to survive in lakes. Lake James has plenty of smallies. Located just Outside of Morganton. This is where I cought my very first smallie and where I've seen some nice smallies win some tournaments! James is one of the mountain lakes that has them. I've always wanted to fish there, but haven't had the chance yet.
  6. That reminds me of when I saw a Hawk take down a Seagull in a Biscuitville parking lot.
  7. Not according to all the videos I watched, its a bass reel using very common lures. It doesn't mean that you can't use normal lures with it. But judging by the line capacity and the size, it is similar to the discontinued Daiwa Big Bait Special.
  8. I would go with the 6'8" MXF. The extra fast tip would be good for finesse baits, and a medium power rod is better suited for the lures you mentioned. A heavier rod doesn't always equal better hooksets.
  9. The Picasso Shakedown is my favorite.
  10. It's made for big baits/swimbaits and light saltwater use.
  11. The Longest Yard.
  12. At least there's no way the rods could be worse than the slogan. ;D
  13. I use them with the 4.8" and 5.8" Jackall Flick Shake worms. They are the best wacky jig head I have used, they have a great hook and a tungsten head. I use the 1/16 ounce size all of the time, the lighter weight seems to get more bites.
  14. The Dobyns pro staffers on here are very convincing.... They do look very nice though, I've been thinking about getting a DX702C to try.
  15. The Pixy isn't intended to compete with the Steez. It's a finesse reel made to throw baits less than 1/4 ounce.
  16. The pictures came out about a month ago. It looks very nice.
  17. After Rapala bought Terminator they moved the factory to China. That might be the reason for the decrease in quality.

  19. Maybe but our lake here is still not frozen at all.. Yeah, and all of this will have melted in less than a week. When do Northern lakes unfreeze? April?
  20. I know a few people that use alertpay. The service is legitimate. https://www.alertpay.com/Index.aspx
  21. And I thought 1.5 hour high school classes were long...
  22. He's 40 years old, had been knocked down throughout the entire game, and had attempted 45 passes before that interception. The mistake was bound to happen. The Vikings were afraid to give Peterson the ball in key situations after those fumbles, so Brett ended up having to throw the ball too many times.
  23. They are closing their fishing division: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1263732602
  24. Dave has his own tackle shop a few miles away from here. He's a nice guy, and his spinnerbaits and jigs are high quality. You won't have any regrets if you buy some of Dave's lures.
