what else would you call it? i think this is actually a good example of a swimbait. multi jointed, very realistic, realistic swimming motion without a lip. thats pretty much what a swimbait is. there are some other so-called "swimbaits" on the market are questionable as to whether they really are swimbaits...... :-? I know what you mean, but it just seems to small to be a swimbait to me.

Can you really call that a swimbait though? :-/

I agree with your point. I think pound for pound smallmouth and some saltwater species are the hardest fighters, but largemouths are the ones that get away the most.

I'm not sure about that. If it weren't for Hochuli's botched call and Gramatica's missed field goal, they would be sitting at 1-2. Good teams usually catch those kind of breaks though.
