  2. Nice fish. I've always wanted to catch a peacock....
  3. I was fishing at a local pond with a friend on a warm spring day last year. I was throwing an LC RC 1.5, and the bass were crushing it. All of the fish I had caught had hit the bait right at shore, right when I was about to lift it out of the water. I casted out near a rockpile about ten feet out from shore and began my retrieve. This big bass followed suit, and blew up on the crank in no more than 10 or 12 inches of water. She had to hit it on the cast I was looking away. :-[ I heard a big splash and turned around instantly, and saw my rod bent in a full arch. My drag was to tight, and she jumped about 4 feet away from me. The trebles popped right out of her huge mouth. My friend and I both got a good look at her, and we both are certain she would have gone 7-8 lbs. I still get mad at myself every now and then for having the drag set to tight. :-/

  6. "HOT TIP: Fish this bait from top to bottom as baby turtles can also swim underwater" THEY CAN SWIM UNDER THE WATER? REALLY? ;D

Thanks guys. Anyone else fished it?
  15. what do you mean the trebles ripped out? Braid has zero stretch and sometimes causes treble hooks in a bass's mouth to rip out when it jumps or shakes its head. Mono has some stretch and acts as a shock absorber when a bass tries to shake free.
  16. I personally do not like using braid when cranking. The treble hooks always seemed to rip out when I fished treble hook lures on braid. I reccomend just using mono.
  17. November 3, 2007. And it was a dink. :-/

Thinking about trying one. If you've fished some, what's you're favorite color? I doubt it matters that much, but there just so darn purty I can't make up my mind. Thanks, Jake
  20. Lucky Craft. And this should help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1200868369/all
  21. Very cool. Great fish! 8-)
  22. In clear and slightly stained water, use natural colors. You said the lake has threadfin shad, so use cranks with shad colors. (whites, silvers, etc....)
  23. That's what I thought at first, I think it's just a knockoff though.
