I am a bank fisherman w/ no hope of buying a boat/canoe/kayak for at least another year. My question is, does anyone use waders in a lake. There are a couple areas where I know the water is not real deep, and I can gain access to some rip rap, bridge pilings etc. Would this scare the fish???

Although I am not a fan, I have seen parts of a few episodes. I guess I view it differently. I am pretty sure Pauly owes pretty much everything to Sr. and talk about a lack of respect going both ways. My dad would never talk to me that way, nor would I ever disrespect him. I am surprised it lasted as long as it did, to be honest.

haven't been fishing that long. I have learned more from this site than anywhere else. I have, however, bought the bass pros seasons 1 & 2. I am taken by how well all the pros teach on camera, but one person in particular stands out to me. KVD. my second choice would be Gerald Swindle, then Mike Iaconelli. I also respect Alton Jones very much for not just his fishing, but his faith. I also admire Skeet for his consistency the last few years. Oh all right, obviously there needs to be ten way tie. ;D

I use 6lb yo-zuri hybrid ultrasoft on a cabelas 6 ft. 6 in. medium light rod saddled with a shimano symmetre 2500. I use it for unweighted plastics, fishing flukes on a road runner rollin runner or martens scrounger head jig. I know you said 4 lb but the 6 yo zuri has breaking strength of nearly 12 lbs and is still very thin. Seems like the best of both worlds to me.

Does anyone know where to purchase the lumaflex material to make your own skirts??? Thanks in advance

Looks great. Looks like you have enough soft plastics to stay out awhile. How long do your bank fishing excursions usually last??? I normally stay about 5 or 6 hours.

Heck, they might want to start looking for a team first. Looking for a QB is getting the cart a little before the horse don't you think? Freudian slip. The point is that there is a shortage of Quarterbacks, and the 13 year old who recently upped with USC is going to fight an uphill battle.

Outstanding point Sam. Going along with what you have said, look at how many teams in the NFL are still looking for their franchise quarterback. Buffalo, Cleveland, San Francisco, Denver, Tennessee, Los Angeles, and Oakland right off the top of my head are still looking for a "franchise" QB.

He committed how many secondary violations at Tenn. last year???? We will see if anything else washes out of his stay there such as the "hostess" program??? I personally do not find him trustworthy. Being from Tenn. I would think you would feel the same way. Your comparison to the Ohio State coach trying, albeit in a lame attempt, to connect to the young man is not the same thing.

Lane Kiffin = snake oil salesman. I have never been a fan, but I am really disgusted by how he left Tennessee high and dry. After all his impassioned speeches, "this is the place for me, we love it here, we will win championships here, yada, yada, yada" If I were a kid or the parent of a kid, I would not believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

Jay Wright...great coach. Pitchinkid, I attended Akron University when Bob Huggins coached there for a few years before he went to Cinn. I knew him from his days at Walsh University in Canton, Ohio. I was friends with several of the Akron Basketball players when it was announced Huggins was replacing current coach who just went like 9-22. He told the players they better return from summer break in shape if they did not stay at school. I warned them that he was big-time serious, major league about conditioning. They were used to the candy-rear ended coach they had. When the next school year came around, those guys could barely walk. I had one guy tell me he was so sore he couldn't even pull his jock on. they were walking around like abunch of mummies. The following year, they went 22-7 and nearly upset Michigan in the NCAA tourney. The man can coach.

Wow. Great looking fish. I am envious. Snowing here like there's gonna be no tomorrow. And you and your buddies are wearing shorts....and racking up the large fish to boot. I am really envious.

I got two packs late last year. I bank fish, so carolina rig is not my favorite technique. After fishing with them a bit, I think they will be killer used as a topwater....kinda like walking the dog, but all you have to do is reel slowly. The tail and body really have a great action....very much looks like a decent sized snake swimming along the surface of the water. I did not fish long enough with them last year to determine if this topwater pattern will hold, but it looks promising.

Like to many to list a favorite. Second-hand Lions If you have not seen it, it is well worth the watch. Robert Duvall, Michael Caine, no special effects, very little swearing, just good old-fashioned acting. Also, Tombstone, Unforgiven, and The Right Stuff rank right up there.

OUCH! That could be true. The loss at home to USC hurt as well. I also think, that although it is usually winning football, the fact the buckeyes offense is so ...vanilla, predictable....boring has much to do with the fact we don't get great athletes banging down the door. Losing to Purdue hurt. Of course, we did beat michigan....Again. ;D

My Buckeyes got hammered on nat'l signing day. They lost out on every top recruit they were after. Apparently, beating Oregon in the Rose bowl was not enough to convince some of the top prospects to come to Columbus. RATS
