  1. 6'8 MXF, spinning or casting has treated me well
  2. Hmm that looks nice. I got one free for spending whatever ridiculous amount at tackle warehouse. Package comes tomorrow, ill have to give it a try.
  3. chimp gets me antsy.... wheres my rod!
  4. I went on tackle warehouse for some flick shakes... and now i have a zillion rod on the way? The rod was coming sooner or later right?
  5. I recently switched to all BC gear. I'm also using the "proper equipment" as raul would say.
  6. Nice fish. Sweet shades!
  7. Was walking around the lake and right in the middle of the path I found this. Completely dried up king snake? Practiced using a jerkbait to gain a little more confidence in them, and picked up a few fish. Big bass of the day came on junebug flick shake, 4lb 10oz. Went out the golden gate from 12-3 today, to try to catch some big halibut. Had one miss the hook and chomp down half my bait. Just as we were ready to go in, my rod got slammed, 30lb halibut? Nope not the dead weight mixed with long runs. Was hoping for a white sea bass, or a striper, but when you fish with dead bait you're bound to pick up a shark or two. Nice 10 min fight from the 25lb leopard shark. Last week before I head off back to school in Eugene, OR. Trying to get all the california fishing I can get in. 8-)
  8. Overall.. 150 lb Marlin As for bass, 9.6 lb LMB
  9. Just picked up my first bottle of Line and Lure.. and first tube of megastrike. Think my baitmonkeys been leading me in the wrong direction, basics first monkey!
  10. I've been contemplating going all st. croix or to pick up some zillions. Either way I'm selling my GLX.
  11. Now I want to see what 25 years of being a Daiwa man looks like.
  12. Wow, no idea what else it could be, nice find
  13. The Megabass Vision 110 is one that's in every enthusiasts tackle box. Once you research what you want, I would order from ichibantackle.com . They sell used lures that are priced according to their conditions and work great. You save about $5 per lure in the 10-20 dollar range. Shipping is $16 for orders up to 200 dollars so it is only worth it if you order more then a few. Maybe start with some topwaters so you won't be ticked losing expensive baits right away.
  14. Glad to see you're catching a bunch of fish basschump. I think cottage grove is also a trophy lake, meaning you can't keep them over 15. Out of that list I have only fished tenmile and almost everyone in our tourney skunked, with a few picking some up with senkos around cover.
  15. Senko's arent an easy substitute... I'm big on wacky rigging senkos, but when the fish are killing flick shakes, i've tried throwing senkos in the same color, and the results were not there at all. Havn't tried the zoom finesse as a substitute, but brent's slim sticks didnt work for me either.
  16. Nice baits, really like the baby bass.
  17. Use crystal minnows for stripers
  18. Going to test bending down my EWGs for a little
  19. fat ika for me too
  20. Getting a PVC tube sure beats this legend elite broken in half in some sort of a 3 piece cardboard box I got today. Those rods look killer for the price... specially as a daiwa reel fan. Now you got me tempted.
  21. that does seem like it would be an odd mix
  22. Woot! Congrats man, that is an Oregon hog.
  23. I did the same thing to my friends head. ;D Took me two days to convince him it looked good and to take off his hat.
  24. Weird, I'm watching it right now and I just saw this thread. It's interesting, but overwhelmingly dramatically negative to a point it makes the documentary lose credibility.
