  1. My baitmonkey wants to join the club too :-?
  2. Yup, I learned to walk with the Super Spook and am a fan. I'll walk it continuously or try pausing after a few casts.
  3. I love my AVS68MXF as well. Great rod for plastics, very light and sensitive.
  4. There's a sweet video of this bait in the water on tackletour.
  5. I think it was senko77 that said this was his #1 worm right now for drop shotting. Jackall reccomends using their "wacky jig head". I see no reason why you can't use O-rings to wacky rig the flick shakes. Theyre on sale right now on tackle warehouse.
  6. The regular LTX carrot stix only runs at $150, and delivers the most bang for the buck. The $250 is the Boyd Duckett series, with slightly better components? From what I've heard its not worth the extra $100, and in the $250 price range there really is some serious competition such as the G.Loomis IMX.
  7. Stay away from the kickin slab and the smaller fish smaller bait philosophy. Definitely worth it to spend a little more on a mattlures bluegill.
  8. ;D nice fish!
  9. dont laugh? Sheesh, those are great.
  10. Be sure to let us know how that bait works for you T-Rig, sounds interesting.
  11. The Team All Star IM10 would be a fine choice if that's what you're looking at. I'd go with the rod. Maybe get 5 of the killer specials from ***? Won't cost you much.
  12. Fished a tournament back in October at Tenmile as a non-boater. People had the best success on spinnerbaits early. Brush hogs also seemed to do the trick. I fished a fat ika weightless for good numbers, but could not get anything with any size to bite. Was a bluebird day after a week of rain when I went, so wasn't the greatest.

check out the fishing articles tab at the top of the page. Should get you started.
  14. Pflueger President and Shimano Symetre.
  15. Ah those are sweet. Been wondering what you were making forever!
  16. sweet sticks, i like your style
  17. Lol, anyone else find that funny? yeah but I like his thinking.
  18. check the flea market on the forums for a few days, something will probably come up with a very reasonable price range.
  19. The Bionic Blade or Extreme combos are right around there and liked by many.
  20. Before you get a ton of rod suggestions, http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546 is a good thread to read about rods, mainly roadwarriors post (second post down). Since you are looking at one overall rod, a Medium power fact action of medium heavy rod would be most appropriate. I think most people would advise you to spend the 200 on a rod and reel. There are a ton of great rods right around $100, as well as reels.
  21. I'm on the University of Oregon Club, pretty much the lone club team out west. Swing by your school's club office or email them about starting a bass club. I'm sure they could help you out. The money part is hard, but you can collect members fees. Ask your local bass clubs if they would be willing to help out as boaters etc.. The oregon club was only started a few years ago, but we have a ton of members.
