  1. If you are of this mindset, you can also pull 3 and keep things balanced.
  2. Yeah, I have an older model BPS Extreme Woo Daves signature worm rod with 6 inches broken off and retipped at 6 feet, the cork has been sanded down to nothing, and I'm sure the guide inserts are ready to pop out any second now. $475 shipped in a fun-noodle. ;D
  3. Yeah muddy man, I guess there are certain instances where, like you mentioned, it would be appropriate to make mention of it in the thread itself. It's all about the kids
  4. Again, I am for notifying the seller of their pricing issues, but I think that the PM is the proper vehicle in this situation.
  5. I'm not talking about these first post scam job guys, but the people who post things with a price that may be a little higher than you'd expect. Wouldn't it be better to notify someone by PM, than to out them in plain view? I'm all for protecting our members from a bad deal, but on the other hand, I'm also for allowing sellers to have a for sale thread that isn't littered with posts on how perspective buyers can undercut them. Just my take. I figured it was time for me to rant a little. What do you think?
  6. There are plenty of videos on YouTube showing different methods of throwing a cast net, which is my suggestion. It's how I catch threadfin shad here on the Tenn. River.
  7. If I was forced to guess, I'd say Costa Del Mar - Rincon, or maybe Vela
  8. Nope. For me, it's usually "Where the f*** are they?"
  9. Have a golf course nearby? At my course it's not uncommon for our bag boys (not caddies, mind you) to make 50 dollars cash a piece each day, on top of the regular min. wage pay. The record stands at 3 guys splitting 400 dollars in a 8 hour shift. Tipping jobs are fantastic for the part timer/summer job guy.
  10. Yep, Stabil did the trick for me last year, when I parked her for a few months. This year I added it, but I never let her sit for more than 10 days.
  11. Well, I'm saying mine fills from the top. Yours will work fine wherever it fills from, but since you're concerned about oxygen levels, I'd opt to have it fill from the top.
  12. Looks great. Seems as though you bought a seat pole designed for the pro style seats huh?
  13. I don't think putting a stone (designed for air) on the end of your fill tube (water) will work at all. Having your fill tube dump from the top like a waterfall will introduce some oxygen to your tank. 'Tis how mine works...
  14. I think it has something to do with how the search button is invisible on some forums.
  15. Ha, my buddy has the same boat, and that thing is a tank. It'll do 28mph with both of us in it with a 40hp on the back. Has way more storage than my '07 since it's not filled with foam.
  16. I have a razor sharp pocket knife that I use most of the time. I also have a set of needle nose with cutters that make clean cut.
  17. Just make sure it's not going to float off and pose a hazard for boaters. Here on Wilson, we have enough random floating wood without any extra help. Good luck!
  18. That's a good point. But, there is a difference between being 100% c&r yourself and being for 100% c&r. It's good if people are harvesting the right fish, but I'm not going to be that guy. I have no use for the meat. Fish and seafood gives me terrible stomach pains and gas
  19. I'm strictly c&r. If people want to keep fish, I think that's great, and they are certainly well within their rights to do so. It's just the guys who keep them and stick them in the faces of people they know are c&r guys to try to get a reaction that get me. It happened to me last season. A boat full of guys and I cross paths along a bank, and he pulls out a giant bass, and says he's gonna fry him up tonight. I said, "Ok." I couldn't help but wonder what he wanted me to say...
  20. Crankbait. Period. Lipped, lipless, 'spensive, cheap, whatever, definitely a crankbait.
  21. Big deal, BassHunter69 did it in like a day. Just kidding, way to go!
  22. Great interview. I like Mike, his intensity gets me fired up to go fishing. Thanks for documenting your experience with him so well, and sharing it with us. "Ow my nose!" ;D ;D ;D
  23. Did you keep pinching yourself? What a day. What a fish!
  24. That's what you get for having a fancy scale ;)
  25. Oh, and I guess to answer your question, it looks like the view from an automobile gps unit, like a Tom-Tom or otherwise. Very neat. The unit I was viewing did not have a detailed map installed, just the stock job.
