  1. Parks and wildlife officials met with the DA handling the case last Monday. It is still up in the air, but looks like everyone is just trying to put all their ducks in a row. Have faith, it will be announced soon.
  2. When you go take a reel(Spooled), and a lure type you plan on fishing. Put it together and try to get a better feel for what you want.
  3. Thanks everyone for the replys. I am going to save for the HDS8 unless I can talk my wife into it for my christmas present. I did buy the LSS-1 (Side scan) so all I need now is a unit to put it in.
  4. Never heard of any replacement parts available. I just keep a spare in the boat.
  5. How well do you know him? Is the source reliable? Makes no sense that he would not tell you how he is working the jig after he offered the type of location. Not saying it's so, but it happens all the time. Take what you hear with a grain of salt unless you are sure he is giving out sincere information. JMO.
  6. Houston Texans, they are currently writing the book on that subject.
  7. Saw a guide boat on toledo Bend years ago(The old style, stick steering with three inline seats) that hit something. The motor ended up in the third seat(Rear seat), (Actually the prop) and it chewed up the back of it. Luckily there was no one in it(Only two passengers in the boat). Close call, but that is the only motor I have ever seen that ended up inside the boat after an accident. If the pictures are showing the original location of the motor, they are both very lucky to be alive. Prayers to all involved
  8. Have not used them, but going to order me some to see how I like them.
  9. I don't play golf, but Tiger has been great for the sport. I hate to see all this come down, but he has brought it on himself. He will survive. Hopefully he can change his lifestyle and use it to better himself. Lots of issues that have surfaced and I had no idea he was living as some have stated.
  10. I am in the market for one of these units. What are the advantages or disadvantages of either unit? What are the differences in the operation and are there any issues I should watch for. Is the lake insite worth the additional money? Would like any information. thanks, Jack
  11. I started this thread and I actually like the Cowboys(At least I did). It's Jerry I dislike; attitude, ego, etc. Poor old Wade has nothing but a name to lean on. He's clueless, but it's not his fault. He never should have been put in the situation.
  12. Wondered when it would start. Just heard it on the radio.
  13. Wonder what he'd say(Pay) if I said I had an affair with him. I might approach Nike about this, you just never know. I could take all the abuse I would get from you guys all the way to the bank.
  14. Man I feel for you. Going through the same thing here. Been getting botox injections in my neck every 90 days through my pain doctor until August. Blue Cross and Merc Medco quit paying for them. Now require me to go to a neurosurgeon to get them or pay the 2,400 out of pocket. You would think they would rather save the visits to the surgeon, but they don't. Go figure. Good luck
  15. Original thought. Never even considered something like that. Would probably make a good gift. Welcome to the site.
  16. The inside grass line will stack the fish up on a rising lake level. Instead of moving up against the bank set up on it with your blades, rogues, traps, and plastics. the fish will use this as their ambush site and you can really catch them when this situation occurs. It can be a killer pattern that is often overlooked.
  17. I fish the hydrilla with the jig(3/4-1 1/2 oz.), and a craw worm with a heavy florida screw weight. Looking at acres of grass can be intiminating. I too like to work the outer edges, but I will concentrate on the points, cuts and drains that are out on the edges. You cannot see all of them so keep an eye on the electronics or use the lure to find them. I keep a c-rig and crankbait handy and at times will throw it out away from the visable mat. Many times you will find a patch of grass out away from the rest that will hold a bunch of fish. It is usually located on a submerged hump that is getting no pressure. It produces when you can find them. Catt has covered the rest well. Try it and it will increase your catch. Good luck.
  18. Sorry to see ya'll go. Lots of great help and good information.
  19. Oh, I forgot, it's December>>> LMAO
  20. If they are just surface cracks it is your call. If they are not though, you need to check the transom. Those can get worse and not show it.
  21. Spinnerbait Jig Rattletrap
  22. Our bigest problem here is that half the roads are elevated and we don't have the equipment to treat them. A two inch snowfall just ruins them. I have a set of chains because we spend a lot of time in Gatlinburg Tennessee. In fact I just threw them in the bed of my truck.
  23. Catt, it's coming down and headed your way. Temp an hour ago was 39*, but it's now between 35-36*. should be there in a couple of hours. It started raining about 7:45, but by 8:00 it was all snow out here. Trying to get the wife up and out the door, but she is dragging as usual. If it catches me out on the road will just have to leave the boat at my mother's home up in Nacogdoches.
  24. Boat is hooked up, we are loaded, and it has begun to snow. Was not supposed to start until around noon, but it has gotten off to an earlier start. Not quite cold enough for it to stick yet, but hopefully I can get the heck out of here before it does. Leaving at 10:00. Everyone have a great weekend.
  25. Not surprised at all. I won a tournament years ago on the flat across the creek(Palo Gaucho) from Harborlight on Toledo. Just outside of the bridge. It had been warm the week before and it snowed on us all day. spinnerbaits and rattletraps, and they ate them like there was no tommorrow. They were stacked up in the 6-8' water 40 yards off the bank.
