Rage Tail Chunk vs Craw
So, I picked up some Rage Tails last night and had a question about these two. The craw and the chunk are the same price for the same amount. It appears that the claws are identical between the two. Why would one buy the chunks when they can get the craw for the same price? If you want to use the craw as a chunk you can always tear some of it off, but you'd have the entire craw for fishing by itself. Are there any other differences between these two?

Reel Magic spray
Get KVD Line and Lure. It's not silicone based and will remain on your line for a longer period of time. It's also better for the waters that we fish.

Patience vs Confidence
Yeah right, and none of that gives you any confidence or takes any patience. : Opinions were asked for and I gave mine. If you don't agree with it that is fine. That's why it's an opinion. I still feel that confidence and patience are much, much less important than knowledge and experience.

Patience vs Confidence
Equally unimportant. The knowledge of how, where, and when coupled with experience in applying that knowledge is what is important.

WHAT A BUNCH OF MORROOONS!
That's probably because you have a set of personal days to use how you see fit. Most companies don't have this. They have sick days and vacation days. Sick days are for when you or an immediate family member that requires your care are SICK. Vacation days are for pre-approved abscences. There is no "hey I don't feel like coming into work today" days. When you do that you screw over everyone else for no other reason than for your own enjoyment. It's a jerk thing to do.

Do you recycle?
You never drive by this place normally? Why not just take the recycling in when you or your wife are out running errands? As for the recycling company making money on it in your old community, why does that bother you? You're just throwing it away so why shouldn't someone else take advantage of you tossing it?

Do you recycle?
Everything that we can.

your top jig
Currently it's football jigs either 1/4 or 3/8 oz. Been fishing them with big trailers too. As the weeds start dieing down I'll use poisen heads more often too. My favorite so far are GMAN's jigs in all varieties.

Torn and don't know what to do, HELP!!!
As I said in one of my other replies, the Extreme rods are adequate, but not great. I use the 6'6" MH rod for jigs now and will be buying (getting as a gift) a new rod for jigs over the winter. The extreme will be used for spinnerbaits/buzzbaits. So, if I were you I'd buy the combo and also try and pick up the used rods from bassyak. I really don't see how you could go wrong with that deal.

Bottle or Can?
Get it straight from the tap in Dublin and see how cold it is. They do that for the tourists who do not like their beer served warmer. These pubs will typically have two Guiness taps. One cold and one warmer. From Guinness' own website

What kind of jigs do you use??
I've been through a few jigs this year, but have been most impressed with GMAN's jigs. PM him here and he'll hook you up. High quality jigs, excellent prices, great customer service, pretty much perfect! Oh, and I caught my PB on a GMAN's hPB&J football jig last weekend. Basically you'll want at least two types of jig. A jig for grass and heavy covery (poisen head) and a football head for rocks. The football head hangs up easier in heavy cover while the poisen head gets snagged in rocks easier. There's also a finesse jig when the fish want something smaller, but I haven't used those too much yet.

Bottle or Can?
It also depends alot upon the style of beer being consumed. A porter or stout at 32 degrees isn't nearly as good as one that warmer. An American Lager on the other hand should be served very cold. So a temperature preference is also dependent upon style preference. I tend towards the darker beers and hence like them to NOT be ice cold.

Bottle or Can?
I agree, except for the chilled glass part. Good beer shouldn't be served ice cold. Beer that is too cold numbs the taste buds and one does not get to enjoy it as much.

How big you think she is??
A few seconds too many. You might not realize it, but you are doing the fish harm. If you're going to practice catch and release, then do it right. Also one probably shouldn't jam their jaws back like in your avatar. If you're going to hold them horizontally you should have one hand on their bellies for support.

Has ANYONE even seen a spinner bait in the color "baby blue"?
Why wouldn't you just get different skirts?

How big you think she is??
Next time measure length and girth and you can get a decent approximation based upon the calculator on this site. Without even the length guessing the weight is impossible.

Guard your secret baits.....
I would agree, until money is on the line. Some people here, Tin included, are serious tourney fishermen. You're not going to want to give away what makes you money.

Guard your secret baits.....
This is what strikes me the most out of this post. He just started messing with your stuff while you were talking to him? That seems odd to me. Who is he to start grabbing at the stuff on your deck? Maybe you should get some of those lure wraps that will cover the whole lure while on your rod. I think BPS sells them. They don't really look cool, but will keep people from seeing what you've got tied on.

---> what's your go-to jig trailer color? <---
That's why I don't sweat it. Give me green, brown, and black and I'm happy. And of those three between the green and the brown I'll just pick whatever I think looks good that particular day and sometimes I'll be crazy and throw black when I "should" throw green or brown and vice versa.

Shimano Clarus or B.P.S. Extreme casting rod??
For the Extremes, I have a MH casting rod and a M spinning rod. You're right in that they are "fine". I got them both on sale and feel like I got a good deal, BUT I will be moving up to a Crucial or the like over the winter for both of these rods. I use them mainly for soft plastics and jigs and want more sensitivity than these offer. I'll use the Extremes for something else, maybe spinnerbaits or something. I haven't had any issues with the reel seat on the spinning rod either.
-
Do you match your spinning and casting rods??
Dude, you're going to give yourself a complex about your rods!!!! What works for one person may not work for another. They make different length rods for a reason. Longer rods cast further, more powerful hooksets for the same power rod (the sweep of the rod on the hookset covers a larger arc which takes up more line), etc. Shorter rods typically provide better casting accuracy, are easier to "work", and don't feel as akward for short guys like me. Now as to the actual brands of rod, if you haven't used rods from multiple manufacturers then how will you know which one fits YOU the best?

---> what's your go-to jig trailer color? <---
If I'm fishing a green/brown jig then I use a green/brown trailer. If the jig is black then the trailer is black. I don't get too picky about flakes, swirls, or secondary colors either. Except for the 1 in a million days when a specific color is dynamite, color doesn't matter and I know that I'll never be able to predict the dynamite color so I don't worry about it.

will a mouse get 'em?
Bass will pretty much eat anything that moves in the water. If they're starving they'll even try and catch bugs flying over the water.
-
Need help with weeds/slop fishing
Bass aren't picky. If it's moving and they can get to it, they'll eat it. They'll hit trout lures where there are no trout, lizards where there are no lizards, etc, etc, etc.

AIG Bailout
The same thing that caused those same groups of people to lose billions of dollars in the * rise and fall. The herd mentality is strong in humans and when one group is making tons of money other groups quickly follow until they overbuy and then it crashes. This will happen again in the next few years. It's not a matter of it, it's a matter of where.
