Not really but look at the angle of the bill and also notice the body is more elongated than say a dt-6(this bait rated 6-8 ft) can't tell how fat or rounded it is by the photo.The real comparison will be the wobble/wiggle compared to a standard dt. Won't know til I get one in my hand,and I can't wait either. yeah i understand all this but i don't see how these SLIGHT modifications can make it some through cover so much better. i just don't see how this new bait is as revolutionary as rapala makes it seem (then again, i don't really see how ANY of their new baits are as revolutionary as they try to make them seem...rapala is starting to disappoint me with their marketing strategies...) Yep, I hear what you are saying man. It does look like a bad @zz bait but.... how is it going to be better for cover? And yes some of their most recent offering aren't that great. ( cough cough!-clacken rap)

It is an incredible worm to fish weightless! I use a 4/0 ewg to rig it. Give it a few pops and work it a little like a fluke.Yes green pumkin is an excellent all around color.

Not trying to insult your intellect here but are any of the frames your using titanium? They break every time and I have since given up. If there is a way to do those I would like to know it. I use a pair of hemostats to bend the loop out. The hardest part is if you have tiny beads and spacers that need to come off.Then the wire needs to be totally straightened out. One other suggestion is to use "long arm" spinnerbaits and that way if you snap it or cut it off like bamtam said your not doing any damage.

Hook centered in the nose.No bends in the back and body layed out straight.Make sure the paddle tail isn't crooked either.If it is you may be able to dunk it in hot water for 30 secs then cold water to straighten it out.The bait needs to be rigged perfectly, unlike most plastics where small flaws can be overcome. Also if enough weight isn't used then the bait won't ride correctly in my experience. 1/8 for the small ones and 1/4 oz-3/8 for the 5 inch is pretty much standard. The bait should have a slight wobble and vibration in the body but not roll,flip,swim sideways,or track to one side.The strong resistance from the tail is attempting to roll the bait over but the weight keeps it upright. You using a screw in hook?

I made the mistake of filling a small plano box with all my worm hooks and EWG's and a few of them were Eagle Claw but most were Owner and Gamakatsu. Needless to say after a few months went by I then had to throw the whole box of them out due to rust. Approx. between 60-80 dollars of Gammy and Owner hooks gone because of the rusting Eagle Claws in the same box. I haven't had that issue when I just have the quality hooks in a box like that. So I said nope,never again will I buy them. The red hooks are very shody and the paint wears off way to fast. The hooks aren't as sharp as well. I can't see any reason to not spend one more dollar or sometimes less for a pack of quality hooks if you go through the Eagle Claws twice as fast I don't see how it is a value anymore. Hey, the panfish hooks are great though. :

Like he said you have to make sure you reel quickly as you lower the rod.

I did a quick search and didn't find much about these. I am looking into getting the 45 lb transom mount for a small jon boat. Any one have any experience with these positive or negative? How does this compare to a minn kota endura? From what I understand it is basically a motorguide motor.I have used 2 other motorguides and they were loud as hell. Thanks for any replies Justin
