  1. Could be wrong, but I believe that 26.99 could buy you something a heck of a lot more productive and a lot less goofy than that. :
  2. You forgot to add the choice "mooing" ;D Rare and not more than med rare. I can't see paying 20.00 or more for a custom cut porterhouse and burning it to a crisp
  3. Yep like Jake said, the flats have a tighter wiggle. Rapala just came out with a flat 09,pretty sweet. I like all the color schemes on the dt series but my most productive in the flats are silver, bleeding, olive, purple back, and parrot. The purple back is just plain killer in stained water. In the standard dt my best color is shad and seems to work in all kinds of water.
  4. Clams are clear. If you look at the pictures closely you can see the square snaps that hold the clams together
  5. I hear the mission impossible song playing while reading this thread. ;D
  6. They are essential to the shads and toads.Every one that I used ran perfect. I finally got to see what the shads are actually supposed to do and how slow they can be worked.
  7. I have already gone through 2 bags of the new mad pacas in both sizes. They are dynamite! Any one who likes brush hogs will love these.
  8. I actually just heard about the new movie today. Can't wait til it comes out. So for any fans of the series here is the link for the trailer.Enjoy 8-) http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810025211/video/11055705
  9. Paca craws t-rig or c-rig 8-)
  10. Well I fished with it a few good times and caught nothing, even on a c-rig. :-/ I am sending it back out to the originator (bassn_blvd)tomorrow. He will be sending out another new lure to pass around. I will be starting a new thread for that after he sends it to the first participant. When I create that thread we will be taking names of those interested in participating.I also will be trying my best to keep track of the progress of the lure, where it goes, and how many fish were caught on it. I am not sure what the new lure will be yet.
  11. They are nice. I have only used the trickworm style that is rear weighted.I can't however see paying even one cent more for something that I can do with a nail, belly weight,or bullet. :
  12. Well good for you then, not being able to check out. That way you can save 13.00 on shipping that will take up to 10 days.Fricken corporate rip-off.One of the many reasons I hate bass pro but was forced to shop with my 100.00 in gift certificates this Christmas. (sorry, off topic but needed to rant >)
  13. Jointed shad rap-7 or a dt10. Parallel the drop offs if there isn't any humps or points off shore.
  14. How about some of that stuff you found in the creek? Such as the jaw from the raccoon that he shot the previous year with his daisy? ;D
  15. x1000 The Fritz hooks you speak of(known as sureset) are great for those times when you really need to snag sticks, logs, rocks, weeds, snails, shells, scum, leaves, helpless minnows, balls of line, shopping carts, cans, and trash lying about the bottom. They are also perfect for gill hooking and mortally wounding your catch when they take the bait deep. :
  16. If you could maybe reply back in the future on how good the action is on those and how well they work. I was eyeballing them for a while but decided not to buy since I can't stand berkley plastics, but I am still curious.
  17. Thats one reason why I asked.I was considering a g-mag but have never seen one of the hooks personally, just online. Was thinking the g-mag may work for zoom magnum flukes also.
  18. I don't see any reason for a loop knot if a spit ring is attached to the front. Some poppers on the other hand it may be used.
  19. Ya we all know senkos always catch fish but in spring they dominate. I like spooks and large walk the dog baits. Also big spinnerbaits.
  20. real or fake the rod into the trolling motor is epic Or the runaway trolling motor ;D ;D
  21. I've been using a standard katsu 5/0 EWG for texas rigging.Want something a little bigger.Any ideas?? Thanks J
  22. I have great success doing this when the fish are finicky.I used to just peg the weight up with a toothpick but have found it is better to have the weight slide just like a standard c-rig.Trickworms and flukes are great. Tough in deep water or in wind great for dragging grass flats, shallow humps, drop offs, light scattered timber, sparse weeds. On a side note:I use braid nearly 100% of the time fishing.Using a uni-uni knot to join a 10# flouro leader the knot itself is usually sufficient to hold the weight up with a tiny bead.I am not into bobber stops. Most if any of them will not stay on braid, especially small dia. 10-15 lb. Just a thought
  23. Well said 8-) It is a killer color without a doubt, but even if it didn't exist I am sure that all the other colors would still catch just as many fish if applied correctly.
  24. x2 ,use a bouyant shallow crank or a stick jerkbait like a rapala and at least a 3-4 foot leader.
