narrow canal
Love fishing those.I can offer a few suggestions. Trickworm weightless or with a small nail in the rear end because it's hard to go wrong with that in Florida. Weightless zoom flukes. Ribbit frogs, rage tail toads, rage shads, early and late. Weightless senkos. Why? Because they work everywhere. 10 inch ribbon tail type worms weightless.I prefer Yum brand or a big black culprit brand 12 incher. If it is choked full of weeds you guys may need to look into using baits texas rigged to "punch through" the junk.Especially if there are hyacinths.

Ragetail Shad Help needed
You can cut off one hook on a treble and run it for a trailor just as you described and just push the 2 remaining points into the rear of the bait. That way it will still glide over the crap. I have done this with frogs but havent tried with a RT shad yet.I dont see any reason why it wouldn't work.I dont have a pic now but maybe post one soon if anyone interested.

letting senkos sit in the sun

Start Up Bait Shop Thread
I am by far no business man but it seems to me that it is very hard to compete with the online market nowadays.Everything is just a click away and a credit card number. E-bay auctions and set price items and an online store along with your shop would be a good idea.Problem is you would probably have to hire more help to keep up with the website and item decriptions, shipping orders, answering phones etc... I know just the guy But I live clear down here :-/

letting senkos sit in the sun
x2, they can get soggy and will especially if they get moisture on them or in the pack. They have outstanding action when they are soggy but will fall off the hook like hot butter and they fish will throw them off. This can be a problem with yamamotos around here with all this humidity in Florida. You may notice the same effect when you throw one for 20 mins without a bite that it will soak up water and get soggy also.

Crappie Hooks
I normally use a size 4 light wire.Don't seem to have problems with hookups and I can bend it out when I get snagged.
-
Pretty big crappie
Nice fish! I can smell the beer batter and fried potatoes every time I see one of them.

zoom brush hogs

ragetail chunk
I haven't really noticed any problems with the craws or chunks getting warped in the old packaging.I don't think the new packaging is 100% necessary on those but it does make them "perfect". The toads and shads are a different story.I had a few of the older ones that didn't run correctly. The new clamshells fixed that.

BR Lure Fun?
Just a thought, but it seems to me that the lure will obviously not make it around the whole list by years end. We may need to start considering the northern guys first if there are any more due to the fact that their fishing season will end before too long. :-/ I am very anxious to get it, but will wait since I can fish all twelve months. 8-)

Public Announcement to the northern guys:
Yep too dam hot for me to fish but....I'll be pitching to beds in December

Finally, "Rage Tail's Next Generation"
Makes me wonder if anyone is gonna try and put them on e-bay for 20-30 dollars a pack LMAO ;D The demand is obviously high and the worms are something special that the fish just haven't seen. You will get what I call a "what the hell was that??" strike from the fish

New rapalas
that almost hurts to hear that. anyone who doesn't want their suresets are more than encouraged to send them my way. It's cheaper to put them where they belong and flush em than to ship em with the postal rates being as high as they are.

xcalibur xr50 lipless crank
I saw the sign at Dicks also, and since those were the only Excalibur they even had I picked up two of them and went to the counter to check out.Of course they rang up at 6.99.I then had to get a manager and inquire of why there is a false sign directly over the row with these baits. He reluctantly deducted the cost and said that someboby screwed up and sorry for the mistake. PRETTY FUNNY : I had the same thing happen when they were stocking the Zell Pops.I was not fortunate enough to get those on sale since they are 10.99.I tried though. The sign didn't specify :

yamamoto kut tail question
ALL sizes work on a shakey head. The big kahuna 6.5 on a 1/4 spot remover is pretty gnarly.Match your bait size to the mood of the fish and or water clarity. The 4 inch is a dynamo but also a dink magnet.I think overall the best size for shakey is the 5 inch. Hook sizes for a dropshot can vary according to your preference or how you have it rigged.(texas, wacky,or nose hooked) If you want suggestions I will list some next time I read this. Tail up,down, left, right, diagonal doesnt seem to matter. These baits swim with the profile of a long minnow and it always looks good, I catch bass either way.Normally I DO rig it tail down, just out of habit I guess, but will turn it as necessary when it gets torn up.

yamamoto kut tail question
True, but you also have to understand that the action on these things is just spectacular no matter which way you fish it.The fish don't see em much either. I normally fish the 6.5 inch weightless, but this time of year fished deep on a 1/4 oz texas rig is the way to go. The smallest 4 inch is killer on a dropshot or a shakey head and I don't have a problem with it knocking over a spot remover head.
