  2. Hopefully.....WITH TWO HANDS AND LONG ARMS!!!!!!!
  3. I'd like to know how a 15 year old got into taxidermy? That is a heck of a hobby and a great way to make money for school/fishing etc.????? Good for you!!!!
  4. I too would like to hear about it. I hear it is quite the process.
  5. CON FIDENCE!!! That's the key... I gotta get me some of those pig claws. They're not available up here!! AJR
  6. Don't take it personal, of course you should continue to help people, but you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. Taking your time, thinking about what you have to say, and then communicating that message correctly (in many ways, punctuation etc.) is vitally important. A lesson young Caleb should heed. Also spell-check is a must!!!! Peace!!! AJR
  7. You got into college and blog for a website with writing skills like that? :-X Criticize and look at yourself before you give someone else advice dude. I'm not trying to be a d*ck, just saying that if a was a company looking to sponsor someone and read this, I would say your ability to communicate and respond to questions from potential clients is "not what I'm looking for". X2 I must concur with Tin. You'd better hope your "sponsors" don't read this post. Jeeez!!! AJR :-/
  8. I had the pleasure of meeting both Tim Horton and Brent Chapman at the B.P.S. near me. I was in the store a while before their presentations and got to speak with both of them. I agree, regular guys. Spoke with Tim Horton about my total lack of crankbait experience and he took the time to give me a "Cranking 101" crash course. I spoke with Brent Chapman about plastics etc. I was VERY surprised that during his presentation, Brent's biggest advice was to pick a few of your favorite brands of plastics and colors and stick with them. He had unloaded 100 lbs. of plastics from his boat the week before and actually DISCOURAGED the crowd from buying tons of plastics they would never use.
  9. This worked on my neighbor!!!!!
  10. I do have a "Weed wing"...a spoon with a prop on the front. I guess this falls in that category.
  11. and Cormorants poop all over EVERYTHING and foul the water.
  12. Topwter with a trailer...got it. Never heard of a topwater spoon, but why not!!?? ajr
  13. You tried to do things the right way..I'll give you that. I don't know how big your pond is, but I think that is a poor answer. I agree with Raul, this animal is an eating machine, probably more than a gator due to its speed. "Sometimes a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do!" Good luck!!
  14. I believe that otters are a protected species depending on where you live and the type. There are various "levels" of endangered. I have one in my home pond. I have seen it in action and also found the "evidence" they leave behind. (Huge piles of scales on the shore, bass carcass etc.) I don't think there is a legal way to eliminate them. You could maybe call you local DEM office and see what they say. Maybe they can trap it and move it if it is becoming a problem. I would like to hear what others have done about these little buggers !!??
  15. OK...I follow the logic... What about using it as a "spoon" bait ripping it off the bottom?? Ideas??
  16. How would you fish this lure!!?? (weight 1/2 oz.)
  17. Should have been more specifiic..... Right now, I store them in a Plano box by color etc. I want to store them seperately. I know this is a tall order. ajr
  18. Hey all.... As I pack away my gear for the winter, I realize that I bought WAY to many jigs of all sizes this past season. I have looked on the B.P.S. and Cabela's website, and didn't see anything that was rated well by customers, or one that holds more than 20 or so jigs. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated!! Alan (bassnajr)
  19. Hey... I am a seller on E-Bay with 100% positive feedback. I have worked hard and for many years to attain and keep that status. You admit that you really didn't know how E-Bay works (feedback wise). There are MANY tutorials on "How to.." on the site, specifically on feedback, advising how to handle a situation if you are not pleased. I think you jumped the gun on the negative. A neutral...absolutely!!! It sounds like you were happy with 95% of the transaction, so , thinking now, was that worth a negative to this seller?? About the response the seller is reacting passionately about the feedback, which indicates to me he cares. I have left negatives, and the sellers never even respond back...they don't care, they have my money already!! I think you BOTH got heated up..back and forth, with your responses and cooler heads did not prevail. Just my opinion. PEACE!! AJR
