Hey all... In a busy world with so much BAD news, finally some good news. A U.S. Airways plane crashed into the Hudson River this afternoon. All aboard are believed to be alive with some minor injuries. The pilot is a hero for landing the plane in the water, bitter cold, with no engines. The F.D.N.Y. , N.Y.P.D. , Transit Authority, Coast Guard and the Ferry Operators in and around Manhattan, as well as the the PEOPLE OF NEW YORK CITY proved today, why we should, and are proud to be AMERICANS!!!!! No matter what your faith, it would be hard to say, that this was not a MIRACLE!!! Listen and look every day, because there are small miracles happening all around you each and every day. Most times we are just to busy to hear and see them. Peace all!!!! bassnajr

I think the bottom line is, it was a bad camera angle.... We all love the guy and I am glad he is doing well physically. Long life and great fishing to him!!!! ajr

Hey.... There is one at the Walmart near me. The zipper on the sunglass case is broken. Don't know if it can be repaired. I can get it cheap for ya because of that. (10% off??) They did get a small order in for the "Free" boat show. I went up on Sunday. I spoke with one of the managers in the fishing department. He said that MANY people have been complaining that they are not carrying more higher end stuff, and that this has been reported to the bosses. The answer back to them is that this store caters to the "middle of the road" fisherman, not the higher end guys for $$$ reasons. They make more on the middle guys than they would for example on the Gloomis, MS Slammer guys. I asked about a Lucky Craft trout swimbait I had seen there a while ago (behind the reel counter) and he said it "finally sold" and that the had only gotten 1 in since the store opened. They'll be glad to take an order...if you have tried that before like I have, good luck with that!!! I also told him that there are alot of guys in this area with gift cards waiting to spend their $$$$. He said they are VERY aware of that, as are the bosses and you can use the cards on line as well. No immediate changes planned. ajr

OK..... I just saw the ad again. I have NEVER seen Shaw without a hat. I am going to say he is wearing a toupee' and maybe plastic surgery.

OK, I love my dog too.... A $360.00 vet bill yesterday.....giving him pills for a week or so....and I plan on taking him on the boat this year. Three daughters, my wife, and two female cats. HE is the ONLY other guy in the house!!!!

Back on topic...... I don't think it's Lyme disease.... I was thinking more cancer of some sort. Looked like he had lost all his hair and was wearing a wig. Lost lots of weight. What do you think Strike King....you saw the same ad I did. PS Tin, I asked someone about those "masks" and gloves. I was told that the gloves are for the fishes protection from our cooties and the mask.....camo?? to break up the outline of the face for sight fishing?? You make a good point, but I have gift card from BPS so it's either the store or on line. I think Foxboro is the "red headed step child" of the BPS family, being so far North. Wonder how the other Northern stores are treated?? ajr

Like Tin said, Last year it was March..hope it's sooner than that this year. Ya' can't get a straight answer from anyone, and the guy I know said that the employees really don't know either. I am shopping on the website. They have more items on there than in store, and if you don't mind waiting (standard shipping is kind of slow) it's not a bad deal. Shipping versus gas cost depending on how far you live from a BPS store. Good luck!!! ajr

Talked to one of the employees I know before X-Mas. He said that because of the price of fuel, time of year, etc. the home BPS office was holding off on sending "re-supplies" to the Foxboro store. Also, he said that Foxboro is not one of the Priority stores. THEY must figure we don't shop until ice out....STUPID!! I'd like to have the cash out there for all the BPS gift cards in the New England area this time of year. Poor management.... ajr

Just watched my Sunday fishing shows and saw IKE on the FLW as the Stren Northern Division champ. What is up with him? Is he doing both B.A.S.S and F.L.W. or left B.A.S.S. for good?? ajr

What the heck happened to Shaw Grigsby??? I just saw him on a Lowrance commercial and he looks awful!!! Is he sick, or did he have plastic surgery and a toupee'??? Anyone know??? Hope he's OK!!! ajr

With the trend towards "home grown" bass increasing, don't put it past the new record coming from within private facilities/guided ponds-lakes here in the USA. Pond management, proper feeding, etc. have come a long way. It might be a while but????? Then again there's always Mexico!!!!!! Alan (bassnajr)

"They" force you to do things that you wouldn't ordnarily do. Drive to Cow Hampshire to buy cigarettes and booze, make major purchases in Mass. etc. And the nit wits in this state keep voting the same theives in year after year. This past election anyone who was in, I voted against. Didn't work, but I felt as if I tried. The only chance we have is if someone takes the state over......would you????
