Can you run 2 Lowrance 520c units off the same antenna??
How much is this "networking" gonna cost?? I think I looked into this at one time, and it was the reason I put two seperate antennas on the boat. One of the antennas went down....guess I am screwed.

Is it possible to run two 520c units off the same antenna??? Do they make a "coupler" to join two units together to one antenna?? Thanks, Alan (bassnajr)

Weather Change Fishing?
I live in new England. Fronts come through day in and day out. I just fish. If the fish want it slow, they'll tell you. If they want a faster presentation, you'll know that too. I concentrate more on water temperature, sun or no sun, and the wind. Maybe this is too simple, and maybe I'm all wrong. Works pretty good for me.

Does anyone know where I can get used Shimano parts???
There are a few guys I have found with a quick check on the web that sell "used" parts. Every handle but the 4000 I need. I'll keep looking or order them from Shimano. Didn't mean to insult you about the used parts. Alan (bassnajr)

Does anyone know where I can get used Shimano parts???
Hey all... I recently accquired two Shimano Stradic 4000FH spinning reels. The rubber pieces on the end need to be replaced. New, the entire handles are $26.00 from Shimano. I am being told that I can't replace just the rubber pieces, that I have to replace the entire handle. Anyone know if this is correct? Does anyone have these handles the want to sell, or does anyone know a person/company that sells used Shimano parts?? Here's the parts schematic from Shimano. It is part number 7990. http://fish.shimano.com/media/fishing/SAC/techdocs/en/Spinning/03ST_4000fh_v1_m56577569830642043.pdf Thanks, Alan (bassnajr)

Rod locker and other security issues.....
Hey all... As I loaded my boat today for the first T of the season, I realized in addition to having TOO MUCH stuff, I also have some valuable stuff. I was wondering what most of you use to keep your rod lockers and other storage areas secure. The "locks" that came with my boat are chinchy at best, and I looked into Lockr Bar and they seem a bit expensive. Any advice would be appreciated!! Thanks, Alan (bassnajr)

making brushpiles
Seriously though, have you ever come across anything off-shore that was man-made? I know of a couple concrete slabs and Christmas trees around docks and that is it. I do agree that it is tough to make a fish-attracting piles, of all the Christmas trees I know of in Indian and Johnsons, I have never caught a fish off them.

making brushpiles
It is a lot easier to cut down several well placed trees on a shoreline. Space them out though!!!

Question about the different P-Line...lines???
Hey all..... I am a big braid user. Last year, I mixed in P-Line Flouroclear to fish jigs with. I was very happy with it. I had asked a question in a previous post about the best mono line that members have used and again I was directed towards P-Line products. I have purchased CX Premium, and some CXX line. Here's the question: All the boxes read the same...flourocarbon coated line...what is the difference between these lines?? Alan (bassnajr)

Ghost in House
There is a show "Paranormal State" on A+E I think. They would be interested in this... As far as the nah sayers, if you believe in God, than you must believe in the Devil. I would think "spirits" would have a place in this realm. Just like people believe we are the only people in the universe, I think things like this are outside of our comprehension. Remember..folks thought the world was flat at one time.

Cold Weather In Florida
Thank you guys...... For making your Northern BR brothers feel better. I SAW my first bass in 6 months yesterday. 38* outside, water temperature, probably not much higher than that (the ICE finally all melted a day or two before), I was throwing an H2O lipless crank. Dressed in a winter coat, hat, and gloves...people driving by thinking I am whacked! Had a 2lber. follow the trap right to the bank, tap it, turn around, and mosey away. And I was encouraged by this!!! Means they are thinking about moving in from the winter waters!! Or maybe this was just one bass whose not to bright...like a guy fishing in a winter coat, hat, and gloves!!!! ;D

REVIEW.....B.P.S. CarbonLite casting rod (IF YOU'RE INTERESTED!!)
Hey all... I had asked a while back for opinions on which rod to buy between the W@M Skeet Reese crankbait rod and the B.P.S. CarbonLite. I chose the latter in a 7' MED. I know there is alot of talk surrounding these rods, so I figured I'd share my experience today. Mind you, I am no rod expert. I finally was able to take a few "first Spring " casts today. The ice is gone (for good I hope!!!). I had a Curado reel on this rod and Pline Flouroclear 12 lb. I started out with a 5/8 oz. lipless crank. This set up cast a MILE!!! I switched to a a much lighter lipless crankbait adjusted the spool tension and much to my surprise, an effortless cast, almost as long as with the heavier bait. This rod whips it out there!!! Very balanced and super light, dare I compare it to the Cumara??? No fish, but the rod did handle a nice size branch with no problems!! (lol). I have checked out many of the less expensive rods over this past winter, and I must say, for the money, I believe this rod can't be beat!! I have a Vendetta on the way..can't wait to see how that compares!!! I paid $79.99 at the local BPS...don't kow if they are still on sale, but I would encouage those looking for a discount rod without a discount feel (cough!! cough!!! Mojo!!) to check this rod out!! Peace.. Alan (bassnajr)
