Wife Ruining Fishing
Everything will be OK Clayton, and small challenges in relationship are common place for everyone. Sounds like airing the situation here, got a little brisk as well but I promise all these folks are your BUDS. IMO, there's a good way for any one to set the record straight when things seem to get sideways in a relationship... Tell it like it is in one sentence or less using as few words as possible, then be on with it! Elaborate discussion and trying to apply too much reasoning often dilutes the truth. Time will prove the need and the reasoning with much more clarity than our words can. This has worked for MANY - for MANY years and I'm sure it will continue in the future as well Now go fishing and have FUN! Big O www.ragetail.com

Strike King Elaztech Vs. Rage Tail Vs. Perfect Plastic
I've often wished that there was a less expensive way to provide the intense packaging that I feel is required for my products, but I have refused to produce and package outside of the USA like many others do. Also I can't see myself relaxing on clam shell packaging and individual placement of each bait to avoid deformation issues. I fight the battle of cost everyday to hold the prices down and try to provide the BEST products possible! Big O www.ragetail.com

Flippin And Pitchin Baits
Red, sometimes the fish want a longer profile more than others and I'll use a Full 10" Thumper or Annie. But I'll pinch'em down like you did as well when needed. Something to consider: When you're pitchin heavy cover, timber etc. and your rod sweeps back on the hook set, never allow your rod tip to move even 1" back toward the water or the fish. Keep the rod tip up at maximum line strength even when reeling or winching on the fish. I'll either turn the boat out and/or move quickly toward the back of the boat trying to tow the fish away from the cover. It's much harder for a fish to wrap around any limb or obstruction when you keep maximum pressure on them. They can only stall or run into a limb and attempt to go around it, but when they find it's impossible to do that because of your pressure, they'll often head your direction... I call this "Close Quarters Combat" and it often requires heavy gear and line to keep your %'s of hits and lands up. You'll land many more fish and lose a lot less terminal gear this way As you know, working flipped or pitched fish like this, establishes a more direct line to you from where the fish bit and there's little opportunity to play the fish due to cover obstructions. In these cases, the fish come up Hot and fast thrashing the surface for all they're worth... ANOTHER CHALLENGE !!! Aint Fishin Fun Big O www.ragetail.com

Black/blue Jig - What Color Trailer To Use
The most popular one have been mentioned: 1) Black n Blue claws or blue flake 2) Blue saphire 3) Okeechobee Craw I have a color that should be out this month called "Blue Bug" and it's my favorite for Black n blue jigs... it's a laminated color - Black back and Blue Saphire belly. It's RIGHT! I think BPS and/or *** were the first to order and should have them soon, if not already. Let me know if you get a chance to ck'em out . Big O www.ragetail.com

Double The Pleasure And Double The Fun
My thumbs still get trashed sometimes but on the bigger fish, I try to grab them with my forehand inside their mouth and and my thumb under their lower jaw. Easier for me to control the stronger fish beside the boat this way. In the photo of the second one, you'll see my little finger and ring finger are taped on my left hand, they often get raw from battles. That's my standard tape job. I guess the thumb might get a little wear from photo time too Big O www.ragetail.com

Talking While Fishing
Too much noise in the boat is one thing but for gosh sakes TALK!!! You're gonna talk about fishing most of the time anyway and there's so much to learn from others. Many of us older folks have fished by ourselves a lot and we realize that sharing our fishing experiences with others when possible is much more rewarding. If you can walk and chew gum successfully, talking while your fishing is a "CAKE WALK" Big O www.ragetail.com

Double The Pleasure And Double The Fun
Yep ghoti, ADVANTAGE camo shorts Important to match the color patterns to your rod and reel colors for best results... might have to change your shorts when you change rod set-ups. I never do because I use the same rods and reels for everything I fish (I'm old school) I do take an extra pair of shorts in case I catch the biggest fish ever and have a little accident Can find these special shorts at Wallyworld or online at walmart.com, Never leave home without'em Big O www.ragetail.com

Jig Trailers
Good topic Red! I've often used darker jigs and lighter trailers with good success and one of my all time favorites has been a dark green pumpkin jig and redish brown trailer. I think contrasting colors between jig and trailer can often be a key to tuning the bite for better numbers Big O www.ragetail.com

Double The Pleasure And Double The Fun
And they DID When we're searching for A special fish and actually find two of them within moments of each other.. OH MY! C rigged, Green Pumpkin Rage Eeliminators with the tails tipped in Chartreuse JJ's was the CANDY of Choice and made perfect sense because I found the larger fish sitting close to scattered brush located on the edge of the deep drops The key to the bite was when the Eeliminator eased over the brush and dropped right on the ledge. I think the seductive swim during the fall was more that they could resist. I try not to argue with the big Mama's after they've told me what they want to EAT most... I just keep servin'em until they've had all they can handle Big O www.ragetail.com

Scent Preference
Just a hint when applying megastrike or any scent like that... Squeeze a small amout in an empty re-sealable soft plastic bag and it allows you to massage a rigged bait in it prior to fishing without getting it on your hands... Big O www.ragetail.com
