My Long Time Friend Caught A Slob!
Thanks Y'all and Chris, I've always got room for friends but wish you were all able to roll at the drop of a hat My visit to Ivie was MAINLY about running the entire lake to mark the visual structure that was now out of the water, since the lake down near 40 ft. Electonics are terrific today but none of the maps show everything I'm looking for or in the detail that it really is! I think the high end imaging is only as good as the amout of intense bottom coverage you can aquire, along with the understanding or interpretation an individual can muster. Covering the water in low times and eyeing the structure is well worth the effort, and where I feel I get the most value... SO I DO MY TIME Believe it or not, I don't have the latest electronics on my rig I think I'm either too cheap or... I feel I would spend even more time looking than I already do or... I'm too dense to figure'em out (this one is the most likely) All to say, just because I went to review lake structure doesn't mean I couldn't take a friend and a rod or two Big O www.ragetail.com

Lake Champlain
WTG Tom and Tate!!! I like the video and the fish photos for sure... But I'm really jealous of the HAT and those BOOTS Sounded like a fun time and to get on a body of water like that with very little traffic would be awesome! Glad y'all had a good day. Big O www.ragetail.com

My Long Time Friend Caught A Slob!
My longtime friend Jerry Evans fished with me for a little while yesterday morning on O.H. Ivie after his 15yr hiatus from the water and he caught a SLOB on the 10" Thumper Worm... It was rigged with a Moaner Stick'r Hook and a 1/2 oz tungsten weight. He's on "Cloud Nine" and I'm kind of HAPPY too He and I fished together as kids and made many trips to Fla waters back in the day. He's had some health problems in the recent past so isn't able to stand to fish, but can't see as he needs to with these results! That big gal towed the back of the boat around in open water for a while till she was tired and I reached down to lip her for him. He said "Big O, all I can remember is when you were bringing her up, she just kept on coming and got longer and longer" He dang sure had plenty of energy to stand up and hold her for a nice photo I found a nice one as well that bit a Siebert Outdoors "Big O" Football jig n Lobster That particular lake is extremely low (about 38 ft) and the fishing is off quite a bit with the lake turning over a week ago. Hopefully, it'll get better if it get's a little water. COME ON RAIN Hope yall are getting in on some Fall fishin TOO!!! Big O www.ragetail.com

Caught My First Bass On A Jig Today
It could very well be one of the best all around lures in fishing today! With the many styles of jigs today, you can Flip/Pitch, cast and drag, hop or swim... punch grass and mats or rip/jump with a more vertical presentation over rocks and ledges. Plus I've never found any water that some type of jig couldn't be fished. I'm as confident with jigs as any other presentation that I use and more so in many cases. Stay after it friend and I'll bet you will be too Big O www.ragetail.com

Need A Quick Tip Or Two.
If you're not catching the fish in the creeks, they're probably not there! In most of Texas, main lake areas are still good IMO. Flippin 6 to 12 ft bushes on points and scattered brush near drops seems to be a standard on most of the lakes I'm fishing! C rig is also good in similar areas. Ck out the structure around the Dam as well. Big O www.ragetail.com

Big O, You Have Some Competition
WOW... Before I fished today, I put on a completely different set of clothes, shaved my beard and mustache and borrowed someone else's boat. I pulled the strange rig with a different truck and made sure that none of the rods or baits that I would use were my own When I got to the lake and was backing down the ramp, I guess I was wearing someone else's boots as well because my foot got stuck on the gas pedal and I ran everything 8 ft deep into the water A Game Warden called the police and when they showed up, they ask me for my drivers license and I guess it was lost with the rest of the stuff. When I couldn't provide a picture ID, he asked me what my name was and I told him, Hell I don't know officer... but will you call my twin brother .ghoti !!! BTW, when they towed the rig out of the lake, there was a 12lb Bass flopping in the bed of the truck Big O www.ragetail.com

Big O Went Swimming!
I'm 6'4" and 230 lbs. I was using the new Suffix "832" braid in 50lb test... Was pitching heavy brush so the pitch was rarely over 15ft from the boat and in approximately 12 ft water. As soon as the jig n Lobster touched the bottom, the line jumped and I spun the handle and ROARED I have broke too many rods when flipping/pitching, and on the hook set as well, but never in that exact area and I can never blame it on the rod quality . In those conditions, I go to line and rod breaking strength immediately to clear the fish from possible obstructions all the way to the boat. I call it "Close quarters Combat" with a FISH All of the other 4 identical rods have been awesome and get the same treatment... heck I've ordered 4 more to finish off my deck. I think you're gonna like it A LOT Big O www,ragetail.com
