The RageChunk is most commonly used for short profile jig set up's. The Craw provides you with an opportunity to fish it as is or use it when you're needing a longer jig trailer profile and/or pinch it to desired length. The Lobster is a bigger profile than the Craw giving even more bulk and or length. The Baby Rage Craw is the smallest of them and very well suited for finesse techniques, smaller jigs etc. As for the comments and questions on the difference in Rage Tail Baits and others... The Rage Shad and Rage Toad represent the loudest and most aggressive soft plastic top water baits that have ever been designed. The Craw family of Rage Tails represent the most action at the slowest fall rates or with least amount of retrieve speeds or rod tip movement on the market, regardless of water temps. The Eeliminator is the first bait of it's kind as well, with a seductive side to side motion and can be fished as a top water presentation or C rig. The Anaconda is also very different than any other Big Worm as it also has tremendous action at minimum retrieve or rod tip movement. The list goes on like the Space Monkey and the Smokin Rooster that were primarily designed for Super Action as flipping and pitching baits bet they too are versatile for a variety of presentations... All this to say, I didn't design Rage Tail products to be like others... I designed them to be the best that they could be in their specific use areas. Also I apologize that these products are a bit higher than some others on the market... Patenting designs, providing intense quality and packaging, demanding correctness and that they are American made etc., is definitely not the cheapest way to take products to market. Many others copy innovative ideas as close as they can, produce overseas or at the cheapest manufacturer, then throw it in a bag for a lesser price. I can't nor will I do that... I'd rather do things better, to make sure that when you spend your money on my baits, they are as close to perfect as they can be and you know that you've received the very BEST product and my very best effort. BTW, I didn't design these baits to sell, I designed them to catch more and bigger fish... for myself, my clients and my friends. When the Strike King folks met me, they promised to allow me to produce the products with the highest level of quality demands that I feel are necessary... Just like a slow T rig in shallow conditions, 8ft or less. A slow, short lift/fall/pause or drag/settle technique is very productive. When fishing rocks or grass, keep the rod tip up slightly and the bait will be extremely snag proof. The advantage of this rig is a more horizontal fall than using a bullet weight on the line ahead of the hook and the lighter the hook weight, the slower the fall. Swimminig it slowly works as well when the fish are looking for a moving target. Hope that helps www.ragetail.com

Years back, I would donate fish to a boat dealer who had a large aquarium. When mistakes were made and the fish would die, it bothered me so now I believe that releasing the the fish exactly where I caught them ASAP is the right thing to do to preserve the resource Also I don't turn fish in to the Share a Lunker program for similar reasons. From what I understand, a very small percentage of those donated actually are spawned successfully. If those same fish were released immediately after being caught, their spawn would be more successful and that same lake would receive a huge benefit. Guess I'm off on a tangent, but I am different like that and I bet you've already figured that out www.ragetail.com

OH it's Foggy Again, You know I love it! Oughta be the name of a Song Found one more SLAUNCH before the New Year. The Rage Lobster trailing a Big O jig was the meal ticket again and I guess that set up has been one of my favorites all year, I think it fits my style of fishing really well... Might try the Rage Rig (weighted hook) with either size Annie using a 1/4oz Moaner 4/0 to 6/0 weighted Stroker. Also 1/4oz is the minimum weight that I designed them around and J Francho's comment of 3/8 will get a faster fall rate if that's what's needed. Drop shotting them is getting popular with several of my friends as well... I've been doing exactly that on deep ledges with the smaller Anacondas and it's BANGIN' on'em. I've broke off several before I get them to the boat because I'm horsing the fish too much! www.ragetail.com

2011 was Great! I recorded one of my best days ever while by fishing by myself but on two days in particular, I took one of our Wounded Veterans (Clay Carver) who was wounded in Iraq... The first day, he caught his new PB when we dialed in the fish with Rage Hawgs and Jig n Lobsters. Then following day we recorded my best big fish day with two of us in the boat. The SLIDE SHOW below is of the 2nd day where we photo'd 19 fish from 7lbs to the 12.30 with others beating 10. From Dawn to evening when I had to tape my rod hand on the last two fingers due to BLISTERS, lol. The photo is Clays PB from the first day... Each lake has a Walmart or several of them... A place where large fish live, and stay within the size of a Walmart building year around. Access to deep water, variety of good structure and bait. Find the Walmart's in your lakes and find the big fish. "What we learn to target most often... we will learn to hit most often". Imagine being at a shooting range and having the finest rifle, scope, loads and other equipment that is necessary for long range shooting, readily available and at your side. You can become a TRUE MARKSMAN if you have what I coined years ago to be "The Three P's - Passion, Preparation and Persistance". Most anyone CAN but very few WILL take that road. Those that do, can call themselves a TRUE MARKSMAN, others can call themselves shooters. Remember the THREE P's... they are necessary to be successful with most any endeavor. www.ragetail.com
