I admit that I am as well because my fishing is 99% BASS fishing... Now I'll admit that I am probably more basic than most because I throw only soft plastics and/or jigs and soft plastics for everything I do, but this way I don't have to cloud my simple brain or think about too many methods to catch'em... I'm not sure of areas or types of water you fished there but maybe the next time on Pickwick, you can ck out the the drops on points and rocks or drastic contour changes in the bottom structure to locate not only more but bigger bites to help you upscale your bag... For the spawn, the moon phase and water temps are RIGHT for much of the mid to upper part of the country and the bite should be good for the next few weeks or longer depending on your location! Slow fall and patience in spawning areas is a good way to capitalize on them too but don't forget keel weighted soft plastics to assist you with the horizontal fall... It can add versatility to the look of your presentation as well as allow the opportunity for a swimming motion if necessary to attract additional bites. Jaheff, Like you, I and many others have used the RAGE Craw to catch other species besides bass in both fresh and salt water and there are several other RT's being used as well. Like Red Earth mentioned, we started producing the RAGE Shrimp and Crab last year to begin dialing in on the salt water species and both of them (especially the Shrimp) cross over into freshwater fishing easily because Bass chew'em up. I think predator fish regardless where they live are just looking for a meal or something to chew on so it's very much up to us to decide what we want to feed'em Glad you like'em! Another rather LARGE Bass caught on a Jig'n'RAGE Craw this week A good friend Jim Edwards, needed to pre fish a tournament on a Lake in my neck of the woods and he had never fished it. I figured I might be able to help him find the boat ramp, local restaurants etc. and we got lucky and found a few nice fish too Here's a photo of one of them. Whoever originally penned the name Black Bass, must have caught one of this gals ancestors. The Anaconda boated another similar in size but there was a little too much boat traffic so I avoided getting a photo... Shhhhhh Jim's no stranger to catching big fish either because he's one of the premier guides on Falcon Lake. They call'em "Falcon King" I've seen him on that lake several times when I've fished there, and his clients are always grinning from Ear to Ear I'm heading North East this week for the "Reel American Hero's Foundation" to honor our Soldiers and Wounded Vets at a Fishing Event near Washington DC.
