Thanks for your confidence SpeedWorm but I don't think any worm will become obsolete because they all have there time and place......This new Thumper Worm design will be very versitile though and at the Release Date, I will supply the details via an illustrated instruction page that will explain the opportunities with it. Thanks for ckin it out Catt....didn't know that SK marketing was gonna give sneak previews. Guess they want to stir the pot a little...... This is a flippin, castin, swimmin, Tex and Carolina riggin bait. As Speedbead mentioned, during the Roadtrip I told them that alot of the aesthetics of the Smokin Rooster bait was Michael, my Grandson's idea. Couple of years ago he asked me what I was doing one evening and I told that him I was designing a creature bait. He said "Like a Darth Vader Creature" and I said....Sure we'll make it like a Darth Vader Creature. And the shape of the head sealed the deal He said the two side wings look like Darth's cape and the body pattern looks like his armor. But Pa Pa....he only has one leg???? I said yep....Luke Skywalker cut the other leg off with his Light Saber...and Michael said COOOOL Pa Pa ;D Hey RW thanks for the consideration of keeping a lid on things til ICAST, I think that SK might mention something about the Baby Craw as well, but the rest will probably be held for the Orlando Show. Truthfully, I have to agree that there have been quite a few posts and topics on Rage Tail baits recently and I appreciate everyones enthusiasm about my products. And no, I haven't paid anyone to use Rage Tails but yes I did give baits to those on the Roadtrip this year and that is probably where much of this enthusiasm is coming from, as they are hopefully having success with them. Also Strike King didn't pay me to make that trip and nor did I ask them to, I went because I was invited to go by some of the folks here at BR and I wanted to go fishing and have fun like everyone else. While I was there, I was able to meet many of the people who were using my baits as well as others who never had. Being able to discuss the details and assist with questions and ideas that some had was very important to me because like someone mentioned previously, I want everyone to be successful with my products and I give my very best effort with hopes that this will be the case. I also hope that the detail in design, action and packaging to insure the best quality possible when the bait gets in your hands is obvious, as this is exactly what I feel is lacking in the industry. Everyones time on the water is extremely valuable and each has the right to expect their soft plastics to perform at their highest level consistantly. After all you paid your hard earned dollars with hopes that they would be something special and help you catch fish more consistantly. I share that hope with you and take this responsibility seriously to help give you that opportunity. And Moloch16, I would like for you to be successful with them as well and not necessarily so that you can start a post and hype Rage Tail, but moreover so that when someone here or elsewhere has a question about one or more of the designs, use etc., you like many of the others here have done previously, can help with information about them. Some may call it hype, but I call it appreciation and caring. Not enough of this in this world, but plenty of it here at Bass Resources. After all, I'm not always around.....like today I drove for 14 hours and at this moment, I'm in a motel room and getting up at 4:30 am to see how effective some new salt water designs I have just completed work at daylight....Now does that mean I might have to fish them tomorrow....I hope so, if the wind let's me Big O www.ragetail.com

Hey Dixon, I am a braid user exclusively unless I have to fish days in clear water. I have had that same problem with two major brands and have gone to Suffix braid exclusively. Have yet to have a problem with it and that's been a couple of years. Big O www.ragetail.com

Great story and terrific fish, That was an adventure to remember for sure. Did the same thing but in a 12 ft flat bottom back when that lake first opened. Drove from Ft Worth Tx with a buddy of mine and fished it for 5 days straight....trolling motor only, those were the days. Might remove and reconnect the gator clips...sounds like it's the junction where the wire is attached to back of clip. That area is usually frayed from use or there is corrosion that you won't notice on the inside of the squeeze flaps. Second ck would be your actual connection to the battery not being well secured. As we all know, fall rate is often the determining factor that causes the strike. Don't forget the slow seductive fall that a keel weighted hook adds to any worm especially the big ones.....This is the horizontal fall that sinko style stick baits have yet with increased action and a life like creature looking bait all wrapped into one package. Back in the day when fishing any soft plastic bait over thick grass, I would go weightless or squeeze a split shot on the bend of the hook for increased fall rate yet maintaining a very weedless application since the nose of the bait never points down and the bait settles on the grass instead of sticking down in it. Although this was somewhat slower than the normal Tx rig set up due to fall rate, the results were tremendous with this horizontal fall technique. I have said it before and will say it many times more that "keel weighted Soft plastics over grass have been responsible for many of my bigger Bass over the years and that will continue in the future, I'm sure. 1/8 or 3/16 oz Keel weighted hook (swimbait hook) is sometime necessary to provide the correct fall rate and will also help on your cast. Be safe and have fun.... Big O www.ragetail.com

I agree with most opinions presented but would not pour JJ's directly in a plastic bag because it will permeate any plastic bag far too easy, plus leaving the bait in the chemical too long will cause ill effects to the plastisol. I keep extra empty bottles and with every new bottle I purchase, I pour 1/2 into the empty and take only a 1/2 bottle on the boat. The chemical has more room to breathe and rarely gets on my hands with this set up....My bottle is Half Full ;D Now that's a positive thought. BTW, I like Mega Strike as well and especially on Big worms at night. Big O www.ragetail.com

I'll take a swing at it. I will assume that you were fishing the Senko weightless or wacky. The fish might have preferred that slow fall and shake opposed to the dart down of the t-rigged SM. That might have been it. If that is the case rig the the SM on a 1/8oz or lighter keel weighted EWG hook, or weightless and cast it out to the same spots and let it sink on a slack line. X2....
