  1. my best all-around is an mbr783/steez 100. my favorite is an mbr782/steez 103.
  2. the 906 is pretty close to the 845...great for 1/2 oz. traps...but, in my hands, not the ideal rod for the fat free shads and dd-22's. you may wanna look at the 847...you may not need a longer rod as much as you need a heavier power.

there are only two things you can do with women. one is to not listen to them. contrary to popular belief, it will actually help you with that other thing you can do with them.
  4. lc flat mini's in ghost sunfish. still pricey to some but, bad effective.
  5. every stradic or sustain that has come into the house has been dry as a bone. that said, in my hands, the gears in the older fh and newer fi do not feel quite as smooth as the older models...they seem to need more lube more often to keep them smooth.
  6. have switched to ovals, as well. i don't see a down side to this.
  7. have caught 4 fish each of the last 4 years, each of which was 10# and change...each between the last week in feb. and the first week in march. 2 on a 1/8 oz. bitsy bug, black/blue with matching zoom super chunk jr. 1 on a 5" senko, black/blue. 1 on a zoom finesse on an 1/4 oz. gammie ballhead...black/blue. anybody see a pattern?
  8. getting plastics back to the boat for the next cast. you can cover a lotta ground in a very little time that way.
  9. the scene where he is at the bar deciding to end it all is still, imo, one of the most powerful scenes ever filmed. actors today would do well to study it.
  10. we need to keep the black/blue fleck deal on the uiet-quy.
  11. don't think i watched a pro game all last year, baseball or basketball. i much prefer to watch the grandgirlchild's soccer games.
  12. bass goggle eye redear crappie blue catfish grass carp all out of one 20 acre lake.
  13. i don't live his life, so i can't say. that said, if it were me, i would wanna go out at the top. always leave 'em wanting more.
  14. as long as fuel of any type is a global commodity, it will not matter if it is alternative or not. blaming "big oil" is silly...if oil went the way of the dinosaur and we relied on biofuel for our needs, we would be griping about "big corn". if we relied on windmills, we would be griping about "big wind". if we relied on methane...well, you get the picture. basic needs, simply put, will always be basic commodities worldwide...the price of which (global free-market or global socialist) will always be beyond the average joe's control. in the words of johnny carson..."you buy the premise, you buy the joke."
  15. personally, would pick the zillion...have never heard a negative word about them. and i'm gonna leave it at that.
  16. after her, he'd best have a lot more than 'roids running thru his veins.
  17. have had a rewards account for years and could start a paper mill with all the catalogs they've sent. never got charged for any of 'em.
  18. i always watch fox. they have way more blondes.
  19. sidearm is definitely better on the shoulder. just remember, start with shorter rods (no pun intended here) and lighter weights...if you overdo it at first, then you will be back on here posting about tendonitis. been there, done that.
  20. it is a tad thinner than the trilene 100%. all fluoros have a little dig on a heavy hookset...not that noticeable on dinks as on larger fish...or, in my case, stumps...generally, you can cast thru it on the next cast. my problem with the bps xps was that i could not cast thru it on the next cast...on any hookset, the next cast would stop on the spool at however much line i had out when i had set the last hook. for that reason, it lasted two fish before i pulled it off the spool.
  21. some of my biggest bass have come in late december/early january. you don't get many bites but, in the words of spencer tracy, "what's there is cherce."
  22. once caught the same 6# bass (markings) on the same bait out of the same spot on three consecutive saturdays. he wised up to me on the fourth.
  23. colonel sanders here.
  24. been using it for tip-up since it came out. for me, it beat out the cabela's no-vis, p-line 100% and the bps xps.
