  1. '57 chevy. like elvis, it was the first.
  2. swmbo bought me a sony bravia sound system for the big tuna at christmas. the commercials are at the same sound level as regular t.v. if i turn the t.v. sound system off. now, if i could just find a way to kill billy mays.
  3. you know, have watched a lotta games this year. it has always amazed me how differently folks play in the regular season and how they play in post season. tonight, i saw 5 helmets fly off folks' heads...ain't seen that many all year...both defenses played like banshees on their back...my hat's off to each. was for the titans all the way and there's a few less breakable objects in the living room now but, it ain't like the titans didn't have their chance. good game.
  4. looks like the nfl officials need to invest in some tag hauers.
  5. x2. he needs to quit acting like he's tom joad.
  6. actually, there is evidence to suggest bass are heavier in fall than prespawn.
  7. it's the nature of the beast...all things are cyclical in nature. there has been a world of books written on the causal effect of governmental intrusion on recessions and most of them, pro or con, will depend on your viewpoint. bottom line, this country has gone into 22 recessions since 1940. it has also come out of 22 recessions since 1940.
  8. there will always be some shallow fish, especially with rising water...jigs and jerkbaits are always good this time of year tho, in muddy water, you may have to pinpoint structure fairly tight. generally, this time of year the bigger fish will still be out.
  9. this is another one i vote to execute.
  10. am all loomis but, will be the first to tell you st. croix makes a few good sticks, as well. that said, bcr803 glx.
  11. Where's the proof behind this statement? I'll ask this question again. Why is the smoker's "freedom" to smoke more important than the non-smoker's "freedom" to not be subjected to that smoke? Why should the smoker trump the non-smoker? we're missing the point here...this has nothing to do with smoker vs. non-smoker...neither has the right to tell someone else how to run their business...nor life. the trump here is about the right of the business owner having the right to decide what is best for his business...it is not a far stretch here to the right of the individual having the right to decide what is best for his home. if you give up what rights you have in one place, you will soon give up what rights you have in the other.
  12. x2...it's their money, it should be their decision.
  13. as a rule, tend to do better with them in stained...green or brown. that said, the old bandit rootbeer color (without the chartreuse) was a killer in moving water like pickwick. chartreuse just seems to be one of those colors i don't do very well with in clear waters.
  14. wouldn't wish this even on billy mays but, if parcells really wanted a challenge... he'd move to detroit.
  15. careful with that axe, eugene. the fabulous forum, 1974
  16. the e's are 2.2 oz. lighter than the d's. personally, that is the only reason i would switch.
  17. ya'll sure got some white sandy beaches up there. :
  18. lc...pointers, flat mini's and moonsaults. megabass...deep x 100...tough little bait to beat at times.
  19. osu needs to hire houston nutt.
  20. usually carry a few each of 1/8, 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. got one lake have caught three 10# ers from the last four years...all three on 1/8 bitsy bugs...in those four years, have not caught one fish with 1/4 or above. got another lake where you can catch a world of keepers but, those keepers won't touch anything under 3/8. it ain't always about depth or speed.
  21. "best" is a subjective term in any regard.
  22. i voted no. for some reason, just never got into the booyah thing.
  23. personally, don't care where it comes from as long as whoever catches it has the balls to weigh it on a certified scale. to date, bob crupi's 22# is the heaviest certified weight...period. anything over that is pure conjecture.
