  1. was a good game...am glad to see bo has the cornhuskers headed in the right direction.
  2. if i had to chose one mbr for those three weights, it would be the mbr 783...personally, think the mbr 782 has the much better tip for 78's and 100's but, the 128 will be overload on the cast...the 783 will handle the 100's and 128's but, imo, doesn't give the right tip for the lighter 78's. you may wanna look at the cbr 845 and cut it down...a stock cbr 785 is also available now...imo, it handles those three weights much better than any one mbr. the cbr 756 is another, tho shorter, option.
  3. go to overstock.com. the wife bought a memory foam for our king size bed there for about $100...thicker than the one shown in your ad. if you get one, get a thin, quilted feather mattress to go on top...the memory foam is hard to beat (we chose it over the sleep number deal)but, they are hot with just a sheet between you and it. best sleep i've had in years...tho my 58 year-old back may be different than yours.
  4. all of them have their time and place. that said, in my hands the pointers consistently outproduce the rest.
  5. i like to keep things simple anymore. tip-up...trilene 100%. tip-down...yo-zuri hybrid.
  6. good all-around line that is readily available here...it is loaded on all my tip-up rods. i like the yozuri hybrid for tip-down but, if it were not also as readily available here, i would not hesitate to use the trilene for both.
  7. x2 in mississippi.

owner st-36 here, too. i despise the triplegrips...lost way too many fish on them. i usually give them to the kids down the block.
  9. think "pop-r" in 6' of water...and work it the same way. pointer sp's and dd's are slaying 'em here now.
  10. the bcr "4" power is an excellent rod for 1/2 oz. jigs and heavy cover...it easily replaced the mbr 844 for that purpose in my arsenal. for 3/8 oz. and more open water, i tend to go with the bcr "3" power...tho i know some guys use the "3" in heavy cover with no problem. a lot of it would depend on the type of water and cover in your lakes...a lot of it would depend on pure preference.
  11. in my youth, i made de sade look like high school. whichever you choose, choose the high road...don't let your d!!k speak for you. been there, done that.
  12. most days, an inline will always catch you numbers. most days, a good spinner will always catch you size. 8-)
  13. Yep. i knew there was a little of qvc in burley. notice, i said a little. 8-)
  14. sound travels 5 times faster in water than out. there are times you want as little sound as possible...rattlebaits are not always a plus.
  15. i think a lot of this depends on what the fish are telling you. depending on seasonal patterns, i generally start large...and on top. if you work your way down thru sizes and water columns, that first fish will tell you everything.
  16. they are excellent fishcatchers...i have not experienced the bill-breaking that some of my much younger fishing buddies have. that said, i seem to catch way more fish in clear or stained on the lc flat mini dr than the dt-6...on the other hand, i seem to catch more fish on the dt-10 than the lc flat cb dr. as i said, they are excellent fishcatchers but, as with any bait, should be used along with other wood baits instead of using them instead of other wood baits.

i live in mississippi. for some reason, the 24-year-old m.b.a. intellectual giants at nfl think i have actually enjoyed watching the atlanta falcons and the n.o saints trod thru the last 30 years. qvc is looking a lot better.
  18. the wife's a lot better at it than i am. the wife starts planning christmas right about groundhog day. i wake up christmas eve and go, "tomorrow's what?"
  19. i dunno...supposed to be 19 tuesday morning.
  20. i think this is gonna be a matter of preference. have a m/f casting (mbr782) that handles 1/4, 3/16 and even some 1/8 much better than the mh/f casting (mbr783)...you can do it with the mh/f but, in my hands, the m/f loads better and handles those weights better overall, imo. that said, so will a good m/f spinning...and a good m/f spinning may give you a better all-around balance in your arsenal. like i said, a matter of preference.

here, cingular is the ticket. the one dead spot in the entire state is one small hill within a mile of a state correctional facility. which is probably not a bad idea.
  22. i'll have you know, i resemble those remarks!
  23. since when did justification have anything to do with buying tackle? 8-)
  24. have had reels sent back from shimano in as little as 2 weeks, summer...as much as 7 weeks, winter. most reel techs are swamped this time of year.
  25. what the heck is flan?
