No end in sight
Well on the upside, I've only seen ice on the Chicago river once this year. That's was early in the morning on my way to school. I know some guys aren't expecting ice out on the big lake til mid-April.

Carp fishing- Yay or Boo!
Of course I still would. I love bass but as long as it isn't a tournament I just loving setting the hook on something. I haven't ever targeted carp but when I catch one its always cool. Plus some of them grow pretty big. Who doesn't like catching something big every now an then?

Shoes
Usually just an older pair of regular gym shoes. They are comfortable and dry out decently quick if I have to get my feet wet at the ramp.

Thinking about buying a used turnny boat.
Tipp if you are gonna remove the wrap make sure you know what color is underneath it. It'd be horrible to drop the much money and not like the color. Also you might wanna wait for the Z520 to come out. I'm not a Ranger guy but a good friend and club member of mine is and that's what he's plannig to get. He's on the Ranger pro-staff aswell. But the key to all that is he spends more time on Lake Michigan than anyone I've talked to. He actually bought the regular 520 for the hull over the Z boats. However, as I understand it the new Z520 is the same hull but wider? Again this is only what I've heard but the Z is a boat you will really have to drive. They can also be a wet ride when it gets nasty. These are just the things I've heard at my club meeting from a guy with a 07 520 with a 225 and a Z21 with a 250. Either way man good luck. If you wanna look up stuff on Tritons look back there was a good on going thread.

ice storm = new car?
Well good luck. Maybe all you need now is a strong wind.

Free Lead
Cool, free is always good. I've often wondered if people went out and did that exact thing.

Colongne
Like Ernie from the Yamaha snowmobile DVD this year I like to stick with my "manly 2 stroke aroma" when I ride.

Illinois State Records
Good luck. It'd be cool to have a new Illinois state record. We were close last year or the year before I belive on the smallie. They waited to long to weigh it.

What to do when bored?
If you've got some weights go hit the weights. That's one of my favorites plus its a great way to clear the head. That's about the best I can think of when you can't do something fishing related. But I also spend alot of time studying too.

This looks like fun!

Professional School Interview
Thanks. You're right because every interview review I've read seems to include most of those questions. Looks like they translate over to schools.

Great fish. Congrats.

Two for the price of one
That's amazing. Wow that seems like something that would never happen. I've heard of stuff like that with 2 LMB but never with a LMB and a peacock. Just WOW.

Is the Zoom Horny Toad a good jig trailer?
I thought I read on here or in Bassmaster magazine that some people save them after they get chewed up and use them as a trailer. They just cut off the top and use it liek a regular trailer. Maybe a way to save some money.

Fishing Bedding Bass
I guess my thought on this topic is that we don't see a large number of the spawners. From what I've read and been told by some people who have studied bass spawning for many years we number we see spawn is very small. If you release them quickly and back to the same spot all should be good. Yes some people feel that predators can get the eggs during the time the bass is gone. But, that is one of the reason they produce so many eggs because of the survial rate.

Home made rod wrapping setup
No reason to laugh. I don't know anything about rod building but it looks like it would be a nice setup. Plus, you can customize it as you see necessary.

Professional School Interview
Hey guys just wondering if anyone could offer some advice especially those of you who may have gone through either a graduate program or professional school. I've got 3 interviews with 3 different pharmacy schools in the next 3 weeks and am just looking for advice. I've been looking at the school pages and read people's experiences that interviewed at the schools including previous questions that were asked. It'd be great if anyone could offer anything since this does have me a little nervous. These will be my first big interviews. Fortunately, the one that is probably my first choice is my last one. I'll get 2 to help me learn/practice. bassdocktor
