  2. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10202576?cm_mmc=froogle-_-100-6-1-_--1-_-38-250-463-70&hvarAID=froogle&mr:trackingCode=BF81C692-DAF6-DD11-80C2-001422107090&mr:referralID=NA Strike King now has a burner spinnerbait with smaller blades. This is a technique I use for smallmouth in the spring. It works best if its cloudy with a breeze. I burn it just under the surface. The smallies come from 15' and slam it, ripping the rod from my hands. KVD recommended shortening the skirt to the hook, shortening the blade are 1/2 inch and downsize the blades so you can reel fast without the bait spinning. This was before The Burner which addresses these issues.
  3. I've had a deer swim by my boat 2 years ago. They are actually fast swimmers. Another time I was fly fishing in my waders about 3 feet deep and I looked down and there was a giant snapping turtle next to me with white leeches all over his back. It was the size of toilet seat.
  4. This describes what I feel the best. 6am with the boat in the water and 40 other boats waiting for blast off and I look around for the "uh-oh" factor. Thanks for putting into words
  5. A Lot of you set your standards pretty high and a lot of you have a very different sense of what makes someone a great bass fisherman. The top ones seem to be -catching big bass consistently -teaching others -or simply a passion for the sport
  6. good size, nice job
  7. I don't go to shows anymore. Its always the same venders and mounts. Been to one, been to em all.
  8. Old Skool Rap and Hair Nation (80's hair bands) and Can't forget Bubba the Love Sponge on 101
  9. Sounds like an awesome deal for someone who knows that lake well. I bet some locals will blow the doors off of all the pros. nice purse too. plus you get to say you fished against the Elites
  10. nice just got my 3 done for $20 each turns out all those funny noises were dirt and grease issues, not worn bearings
  11. how about this one--it looks comfy http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ZKAUE6?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=nextag-sg-delta-20&linkCode=asn
  12. Sammys baby I also agree with RW on the Jerks
  13. Oh yeah, Chartreuse shirt with gold and silver blades
  14. Strike King now has a burner spinnerbait with downsized blades to prevent it from spinning. I have my best results on cloudy and windy days. Keep the bait 6" below the surface and hold on. 5-15' water on flats etc. as stated by stepchild
  15. Thats why I'll never swim in California
  16. if I could be ignorant for a minute here... I used Rapala for many years because I didn't think there was quality in crankbaits. I thought LC was just an overpriced lure. Now I am learning that you can order a custom bait??? I didn't know that was possible. How much would one of these cost?
  17. WRB--can't you sue for that not only the world record was lost but the million $$$$ endorsements too. sorry my friend, that is a deep wound. Dottie got her justice when she passed, she made the top 25 list and was caught possibly weighing 25 lbs+/- she made history and will be spoken of in lore for many years. Maybe one of the only bass that everyone knows her name and won't be bothered any more---That's justice!!!!!!!!!
  18. I'm a stay at home Dad whose wife does the same---thats the best deal And she went to dick's one year Christmas shopping and they forgot to charge her for my 7' St Croix premier rod.
  19. heres my biggest stripers and I'm not smiling
  20. this is my biggest King Salmon from a small river in Pulaski NY on a fly rod
  21. I just sold my '90 Corvette convertible in the fall. Since having my daughter, I never drove it. I take her everywhere I go. I figured there was a law that banned child seats in 'vettes. I just wasn't able to drive it under 100 on the highway. Same reason I never bought a crotch rocket.
  22. Are those custom bumpers? looks awesome, congrats
  23. heres a few http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1226442300
  24. Is this for a river or lake? I assume lake with no current otherwise a senko would be downstream too fast. Also how do you pick which pilings will be more productive?
  25. never heard of it either I'd rather lunker at the end of each day. Instead we do an extra $5 per tourney that goes to 2nd 3rd and 4th in points.
