I use the xr 8 and 10 all spring in Hot Steel and Silver. Love Em. those are the only 2 colors I've tried and they produce equally, so I'm not so sure color matters. I catch bigger fish with the bigger size but more with the 3.25 size. I work them one way only-- fast hard jerks-- very short pauses and make sure you point your rod tip back at the lure after each jerk to maximize movement

Bass Dude--I never thought of that--Put it together "skeet" and Cali--like toast and Jelly Congrats Skeet--too bad for Fralic (sp?)--all he needed was 16lbs. after catching 19 each day, he fell off the third day. And Ike did too much Fish management and left a few lbs behind the first 2 days. He was aiming for 15-18 each day then hammer them the third (which he did). Maybe he should have been more aggressive the 2nd day. Its all hindsight though Skeet earned it and has been consistent the last few years.

101 will be faster than most nascars I recommend min. of 50 because of wind

I'd let that one past because parts and service knowledge will be limited. 5 K is a good amount to spend on a first boat. Keep looking. There should be more for sale soon in the spring
