Where to get good online topo maps?
Alot of lake have only basic maps with 5' increments in depth changes. It depends on how important that lake is to the State or Feds. So the map you are looking for may not exist for your lake. Your state DEP should have any maps and mapbooks available on their website.

New Style
largemouth are more related to cover than smallies. Smallies seem to roam and suspend on points. If you wanted to catch laremouth fish the shoreline weeds and wood as well as shallow rock with soft plastic worms and creatures. Crankbait grass on flats 10' or less throw spinnerbaits in shallow coves this is a good way to start

If you had to catch 1 bass that day
Lets say you're in a club tournament or fishing with friends and at 1pm you haven't had a bite all day after emptying your tacklebox. Its a major cold front and the bass are shut down. Your friends are fishless too. You'll be done fishing around 3pm and you need to catch 1 keeper bass. Make up your own fishing scenario as far as type of lake and bottom structure or cover. What would you do??

Naming fishing holes
A small pond that Tokyo Tony introduced me to had no name so he called it 'BIG', because of the 4-6lbers that hes caught there. When I fish offshore I call it 'no mans land' because it looks like I'm in the middle of nowhere but its actually my secret spot
